Ok RK, what have you done now, Son? Are you a big Steve fan? Haven't done a sketch of him. Do you have a pic that you would like a sketch of? If so, I will do one for you.

Did you learn to post the medals yet?

    KP

\ Where do you live, RK? I will call you and we will do the Photobucket....YES, we WILL. I will set an album up for you right now. You scan a bunch of photos and try a medal or two.....put it on a white paper. Cds are ridiculous. You have to mail them, they scratch, etc. Now, I KNOW you are not dumb...your posts make that extremely obvious.....opinionated, head strong, and "say it in your face",LOL..........that means KIDDING remember....fun to say it though. Now, besides the sketch I am going to give you, I will be giving you something you will always have. The ability to send your cherished items out for EVERYONE to see, not just someone with a CD. As for my sketches. I had only done one portrait in my life, and all my sketching and woodburnings were done about 30 years ago......but, checkout Ben Johnson, one of my latest..just started back two or three weeks ago. Go to the Sketch Prize Thread. It has a bunch of my new ones and some of my really old ones....a woodburning also. I put some on Facebook and sold three the first day....I just put them up for my friends to see.....never planned to SELL any. Also, a fellah commissioned me to do 20 from the death scene in The Shootist. I think I have ONE finished in there and a bunch of others that are mostly. There is one that you have probably never ever seen before. Oh, you have SEEN it, but, you never SAW it.....see if you can tell what I mean. So far, no one has ever noticed it before. I have watched it over a hundred times and never saw it until I did the screen catch for the drawing. I am not great....just a sketcher, but I used to make over a thousand dollars on the large mahogany coffee tables I would burn tall ships of the line under full sail shipping a rail! Hornbolower all the way, LOL! What is your phone number? Now, please, LOL! KEITH

Not sure I've ever seen it all the way through. off to Netflix

Thanks. It is not a big deal. As Bill said, there is always a movie that everyone hated and someone who loved it. I and DH may be the only ones who ever liked it, but....like it we did. I am just curious WHY it was disliked so much. People have aired their reasons, but it hasn't satisfied me. Guess when you really enjoyed a movie, you don't listen correctly, LOL!

I THINK I love it because Duke was a vastly experienced man in his field....was known as THE expert to call if a well fire was out of control. He had built up his own business. He also did all the dangerous work himself while bringing along a young man, (Jim Hutton), who would eventually take over as he was getting older. And, there are some really exciting parts when the well fires are being put out.

Also, when Duke gets hurt in a movie, I always feel as if I am the one looking after him, LOL! Always been like that with my heroes!

Critics rated it something like 17% while fans were 76 %. Our group except for a few so far, thought it was terrible. RK liked it, but don't see where many others did. Peter hasn't seen it yet....wondering what he will think....we usually agree pretty much.

Well let me know if you get a chance to see it. Thanks, Keith

Hi BJA, Yep, it sure did, LOL. NOW, you were extremely lucky you were wearing shorts that day. Just imagine if those pesky little devils had gone up the INSIDE OF YOUR PANTS LEGS and ended up......well, THAT would have been BAD! HAH! Keith

Wow, this turned into quite a thread. Glad I'm not allergic to yellow jackets, bees etc. On two occassions I'v ebeen stung more than 20 times by swarming yellow jackets and one of those times it was over 40. That last one was in the trees off the fairway on the golf course. I apparently steped on a yellow jacket ground nest and they started on my legs and worked their way up Wearing shorts that day of course). They followed me 50 yards into the middle of teh fairway before they stopped. I left a brand new seven iron with them in the woods. I finished out the round and sent the cart boy back with three cans of wasp and hornet spray to recover my club.

Hi Rk, interesting childhood story there. Glad I didn't have to worry about them until much later in life for they were always around. I would get stung, and a little tiny welt would occur with some pain, of course. Gone by the next morning with just a little red spot where they had stung me. Not so now, LOL! Yep, good old WD-40..found out by mistake.....it was the only thing that sprayed when I needed to spray a nest!
HAGO, Keith Been to the Group Watch? LOL!

Don't know what happened...had a rather lengthy post answering you and about to answer Keith, when....vamoosh..gone! This has happened to me and some friends a few times lately. Think I had better start writing my posts on something else and pasting them. Taking lots longer than normal for posts....wonder if it is my computer? Keither said they were having some issues....maybe they still are. Anyway........on we go again!

Mona, YES, WD-40 kills most all....think it only knocks out hornets for a while....looked it up for you and am on a deadline, so just peeked a bit. LOTS of articles on using WD-40 and YOUTUBES ALSO. Here is one:
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_wd-40_be_used_as_a_wasp_killer I believe it tells of the Youtubes.

When I rebuilt or did additions on a house, if I had to run electrical in the attic or plumbing in a crawl space, I always carried the small can of WD-40 in my tool belt. I carefully shone my headlamp everywhere, but occasionally critters would venture out to protect their nest before I was aware of its presence. You could hear them coming....and I would use the wide blast of the WD-40. Once stopped, I then put the little "straw" on and gave the nest a good going over. Hated to do it, but....just couldn't take the chance.

I thank you Buzzy Carter also.

HI THERE KEITHER, Yes, if it had gotten out of hand, it wouldn't have. But, to my way of thinking, the few people who emailed and PMed him asking if he was serious, etc. was a form of WD-40. Something to stop a problem before it got started. What do YOU think? I often ask you, but guess you are usually too busy to answer. You MUST stay at your computer ALL THE TIME! I am close, but still have to work in the shop also. RK listened to the people who wrote him. Instead of whipping off a negative reply, he started a thread to ask why? I thought that was very good of him in that he didn't understand, (my fault....don't know about the others), because I did not quote him.......he wasn't sure of what I meant......giving him the benefit of the doubt there because I like RK and think he is great for the Board. As you said, things have worked out.....love it when that happens!
No, WD-40 itself would not have worked. But a WD-40 type of personal contact immediately did. Nothing escalated......and all turned out well.....much to my relief as I really like all involved a great deal.

    Aloha, LOL Keith TOO

Just became allergic about 20 years ago.....gets worse everytime. One little YJ sting on my pinky can swell my whole arm up so I cannot bend it in just a few hours.....and THAT is with 2 Benadryls.

If you misplace your spray, WD40 works well....have used it many times. Never want to kill the things, but.....if I have to work around them, sadly I have to. Imagine what two or three stings would do! Maybe I should get an Epi pen just in case, LOL! Keith

LOL, can't sing, huh, RK? Well......
I could read what you wrote in German. Can't speak it but can understand it some and actually pronounce if fairly well. I try to correct my typos, but I won't bother with you......we will just let be what gets on the paper,
Wish you would try Photobucket again....it is very easy once you get over the bumpy part. I could set up a site for you with an album already there. All you would have to do is UPLOAD from your computer after you scanned.
But, if you prefer not to, this is OK too. Let's start with the ones without the swastikas and see how it goes. Would love to have the stories of the men and the papers also. If you have any already scanned, send them on. IF not, I will just wait until you can find time. Doctors? I was a RN. Hope it isn't something serious! What do you do for a living.......?
I build expensive furniture for Cats and Dogs, write, and draw.

OK, let me know when you have time, and go vote for the Picture Game....only a couple of hours left......help Mark out. Doesn't matter whether you entered or not. You can still vote for whatever the think is the funniest one. I announced the New Group Watch just now.....check it out.
Hope you are feeling OK. Gutte Nacht, Shlavingzy Gutte. Told you I couldn't spell German worth a toot! KP

Hi Keith, nice background ;-)) You have an edge on me though--you can sing--I cant

My spelling is legendary on other sites. I make so many typos-try to correct some but--get fed up with myself and leave most alone.

I know SOME German but--when I was over there--I mainly used: Mein Deutsch ist veri schlecht-sprechensie English?--meaning my German is pretty bad--do you understand or speak English?

Well RK, thanks muchly for telling me of your history. Feel as if I know you a lot better now. I am part English,German, Irish and very small part Cherokee, (we THINK...no it was one, but are pretty sure of the Cherokee part). I am very patriotic also and type way too fast trying to keep up with my mind, LOL. So, we both can ignore our typos! Were you born here? My Mom learned to read and write German before English because my grandmother didn't want to mess up the teachers who would be teaching her English. I still know some words and phrases and can sing Silent Night in German as Mom had our neighborhood children's group learn it for the German consulate in Atlanta who lived in our neighborhood. It was their first Christmas away from home and they all cried when we sang it for them. Mom taught it to us phonetically...I can't spell German worth a plugged nickel, LOL!
Let's make time, have some medals scanned, and we will make a time to "meet" in the chat room and I will teach you how to post pics. Won't take long. CYA, Keith

RK, since I was one of the ones who PMed you and asked if you meant what you said to be derogatory, I am very sorry to have not included the link to the post. Can't find it now, but you said something like, "I hate all anti-Americans", or something like that in response to a Dancing with Wolves post. Peridot answered thinking you were being improper, but............it began a wonderful conversation between her and Russ, (Tennessean)..me also a little. I learned a great deal from those two about Indians and their history. So, it turned out great, actually. Sorry for not answering you sooner.
