Posts from The Ringo Kid in thread „Movie Posters“

Give me a call Kiddo....that is easier than the other. You can do it!

    Keith

Ill call up in a little while. I need to get a long posting done on the warrelics site then will call after that. It might take me about 2 hours to do so though.

Carl, I will edit your posts and replace them correct way up

Thank you Keith and mucho gracias too. Ill keep from posting the others untill the other Keith gets the cds in and fixes them for me ;-)) I might post of afew of my originals too-nothing bad in them ;-))

I second that! Got to get the Gorch collection on here too!

His collection is a collectors dream of not only quantity--but quality. Ill see if I cna figger out a way to get those he sent me by email to post? Never tried that.

To paraphrase Brian Dennehy in "Silverado", two of my favorite people in the world are getting together. Love these stills.
Carl, Lady Hawk, you two are made for one another, but I'm feeling left behind. I'll PM you both about getting some of my stuff posted.

    We deal in lead, friend.

Thank you bill. Ill be trying to post two lobbies from The Heroes of Telemark--later today. I also might post of few of my originals from WWII--just for the heck of it and to keep practicing so Keiths efforts aint in vain ;-))

Hah, and I will get to see all your pics first hand, Carl.........that will be cool!
Send those CDs. We will get them right. And you are doing great at posting! Way to go, Kiddo! KEITH

Thank you Maam, and ill have them in the mail this Saturday morning ;-)) Then soon as I can get my self in gear--ill try getting most of everything else still not on CD-on cd. Some I cant as requested by a nice Gent--so those will stay off.

That's a heck of a collection you have, Carl. I got a kink in my neck looking at them, though. :))): Kidding, of course. I'm looking forward to seeing some more from you and Peter.

    Mark

Thank you Mark and Keith is ind enough to help me correct the kinks in the necks in future postings. Im sending her a copy of each of my photo cds so she can figger out what I cant ;-)) Ill be getting these out Saturday morning so hopefully in about 10 days? hopefully the sideways and upside down things will be corrected ;-))

PS, wait till you see some of Bill's stuff. His collection is massive and makes mine look like "the sweepings from the road" in comparison.

PS, just picked up two lobby cards for: The Heroes of Telemark. A friend of mine in England giving them to me. So im sedning a few he likes in exchange.

Carl, I look forward to seeing them!

You call, I haul. Sorry some are sideways. I got a jump on Keith and posted my A Time To Love and A Time To Die stills. Ill save the rest for after Dr Keith fixes all my CD images problems ;-))

Hi P/ welcoem and looking forward to seeing them ;-)) Keith just helped me get more images in a photo bucket account and ill try posting them here as soon as the rotation thing is done (by Keith) since i cant seem to do it. Im sending her a copy of all my CDs to see what she can come up with.

Very nice poster. A good friend of mine from St. Albans in Eng--would kill to get this poster ;-)) I used to not be a fan of Randolph Scott only because I never saw any of his movies till cable TV came to kingsville back about 1980. Before then--the only movie I saw of his not knowing he was the main star in it was: Gung Ho. I watched it paying attention to Robert Mitchum and Noah Beery Jr.

Remember to give me the heads up on the next Warner sale!

They have one going on now. Ill have to check to see what this oen is but I THINK its a 30% off election sale?? Ill have to check my email then get back here.

Just found it--its a fall back savings the daylight savings time thing--and says you can save upm to 60% off on select titles.

Their site is: http://www.warnerbrothers.com and let me know if you wanna order any?

So MB, when are we going to fire up the phone and teach you Photobucket now that there are all these great threads for you to scan and post to? The Ringo kid is going strong,..didn't take him long to pick it up.

Hope you are having a blast with the kids and grandkids.....lucky you. Ever want to send one my way for a week or two, just let me know, LOL! YK

Thanks for the credit but its all yours. A sad sideline--I cant remember how to get the rest of the images I ahve that was saved on the computer to the photo bucket account. I need reteaching ;-))

Never saw the "Fixed Bayonets" poster before. It's terrific. Does anyone here realize that James Dean is one of the grunts in the movie? It's been quite some time since I've seen it, but it's definitely him. I'll have to dig it out from the VHS archives to see what he did. I mention it only because he is usually credited with being in just three movies - "East of Eden", "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Giant".
Also, the "Away All Boats" art is by Reynold Brown, who did the magnificent painting for Duke's "The Alamo", one of the best ever. The one sheet doesn't begin to capture the scope of the work. The small, but complete Belgian poster shows the entire artwork.

    We deal in lead, friend.

And I got this one which John Doucette had autographed--got it for less than $40. Its in rough shape but its a keeper none the less.

Great posters, thanks for posting them

Thanks, and I wish I could remember what I HAd-from other movies. I have a few other posted but one was a giveaway that you could only get back about 1990--from Marvel Comics (which I still have) that was signed by Stan Lee and John Byrne. You could only get this poster if you ordered both VHS tapes @ $50. One was a tape of the first X-Men animated 30 minutes toon ever--the other was: How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way.

I had a good laugh listening to Stan Lee--he really must have been a NERD.:lol: However--he is a great NERD.
