Never mind, mystery solved and he is actor who Dan Riss as Captain Solari. The guy who posted this lobby card was wrong and I THOUGHT so.

This is from one of the Lobby Cards I saw for sale from the movie. i KNOW that Van Johnson was the star in it--and but-the guy who posted this seems to think that the gent to the right that he is standing near-who has Captains bars on his helmet is Ernest Borgnine.. Does he not LOOK like Ernest Borgnine? Ive never seen his name listed as him being in the movie: What do yall think?

Mystery solved-the Captain is Dan Riss as Captn Solari. As I thought, the guy who posted the images of his lobby card was DEAD WRONG..
