I saw a few scenes in The Lone Ranger where the landscape was quite familiar from The Searchers.

Went to see The Lone Ranger this morning with my son and grandson. I really loved this movie. It had alot of great action and plenty of humor between Depp and Hammer. I hope alot of you decide to see it because I think you'll enjoy it. And yes, alot of the wonderful Monument Valley scenery is on hand and some of it is very familiar and even a few scenes in the movie will remind you of a certain Duke classic. This has just joined the list of one of my favorite westerns of all time.

That dingbats idea of a great movie is probably Sucker Punch. As for other reviews, I don't go by any of them. I'll go see it and judge for myself. The reviews are nothing more than one persons opinion. And we all know what opinions are like and that everybody has one.

Well, from what I've read, alot of the action and stunts were done live, not CGI. Actor, Armie Hammer said in a recent article that he thought the same thing, they would act out certain parts, the rest filled in by CGI. To his surprise, that wasn't the case, the actors did their own stunts, including the ones on the train. They built a real train hub for that purpose and Hammer said it was scary at times, but if you didn't think about what you were doing and just went with what they wanted you to do, it was ok.

Sure looks good to me.

I think Depp looks really cool as Tonto. Hammer look a little to dapper as The Masked Man.
