I wish they would. I'd be one of the first inline to buy.

Hi @falc04 I hate that. The version at my theater wasn't that bad, but the sound was less than impressive.

You figure if he's 5' 9" 4" lifts gets him 6' 1" maybe 6' 2".
I call BS of that trivia answer.

@dukefan1 it might be show a second night. I know here it's playing again Wednesday night.
Super pleased to finally see this in the theater. This movie came out the summer after I was born 1969, so I made it a point to go see it today.
BTW, did anyone see the trivia questions before the movie started? If so, they asked how tall was John Wayne, and I was surprised with the answer.

Not sure this is correct. 5' 9" with lifts in his shoes?! -

QuoteMark your calendars! True Grit is making a return to theaters for two dates in May 2019.
Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the classic Western that won John Wayne his first and only Oscar®. The legendary movie star gives his most iconic performance as Rooster Cogburn, a drunken, uncouth and totally fearless one-eyed U.S. Marshall hired by a headstrong young girl (Kim Darby) to find the man who murdered her father. When Cogburn's employer insists on accompanying the older gunfighter, sparks start to fly. The situation goes from troubled to disastrous when an inexperienced but enthusiastic Texas Ranger (Glen Campbell) joins the party.
Laughter and tears punctuate the wild action in this extraordinary film featuring performances by Robert Duvall and Strother Martin. A true western classic for fans and first-timers, True Grit is a must-see on the big screen.
This event includes exclusive insight from Turner Classic Movies.
