The closest I can come to your description of the scene is Shepherd of the Hills. But it is Harry Carey Sr. that was in the cabin and Duke was coming out of the woods and across the meadow to kill him. Harry watched out the window first, then came out of the cabin and proceeded down towards Duke. A very tension filled moment. Does this jog the memory?

Hello Joziejo, and welcome to the forum.
Off the top of my head, I can't envision that scene. John Wayne made movies from the 1920's to the 1970's. Can you narrow it down a little for us? Was it a very young John Wayne (in one of his early B films)? Or was he middle age or older? Was it in color, or black and white? I'm guessing it was a western, but do you know otherwise?
Hopefully, with more to go on, we will try to help you out. Some very knowledgeable people stop in from time to time. I love a good test!
