If you look at it one way.. I did join a month before you so it's fitting that I made it first... I need to get back to my website so I may slow down for awhile. And we have plans for part of the weekend, sleep!

I use Paint Shop Pro to do the screenshots but I do have a nice new digital 7.1 megapixel camera with a 12x zoom lens on it. The girls are only about 100 feet away from my den picture window. If that doesn't work I do have a 20x50 Bushnell set of binoculars handy for myself. Wife is home for the next 4 days though.

I must have gotten to 10 so fast that it didn't matter for me. I just sit around all day, at my computer l-shaped desk looking out the crow's next I call my upstairs den window looking down on the babes across the street sun bathing. Soaking up that sun so they can come back in 10 - 15 years and get that skin cancer.
Today I got to watch the Maytag repairman fix a recall on my dishwasher. Damn Mexican made machines... this is the 3rd of 5 Maytag machines to have some kind of fire hazard recall repair. And all my appliances are Maytag... never again!

Can't access your messages until you hit 10 posts? I don't remember that problem when I joined.

Rio Bravo and The Cowboys has been released on HDTV DVD's... But I haven't heard anything about Hondo in 3-D again.

I'm searching for a new member... RP are you here?

Looks like lots of new members are headed in here from various events and some just from the Internet... gives me an idea.

Go Big Red... a South Dakota native here. Hence the DakotaSurfer ID. Huron to be exact. Have classmates in Omaha and did some teaching in North Platte and Grand Island for NWPS. Welcome!

Hey Governor... I think you should be asking how they found us. Just to see how many are actually coming here because of the button project. It would be nice to know if it was worth it.

JJ, Duke, gt12pack & Ringo. Thank you for the warm welcome. Hope I didn't miss anybody. Hey, I'd rather be a town drunk than a tenderfoot. Even Otis from Mayberry was a likable guy.
Once you hit 10 posts you become a Pilgrim, then 50 posts for a Town Citizen and 100 posts for a Town Council member. By then you'll have learned the ropes.

Every town has to have a town drunk... on forums we call them spammers. Posting one liners to build up a post count to look good. Thank goodness we have ignore lists.

Greeting everyone. Been trying to join here for awhile now. Kevin can tell you it's been quite a chore. But I am very happy to be here.
I've been a John Wayne fan since I was very young. I met him once when I was out in California and we were touring the studios, I was pretty young but I remember my parents telling me my eyes lite up like Christmas lights.
Now I'm 52, retired and living in Illinois. Depending on my wife's work schedule we're planning on going to the 100th Birthday Celebration in Winterset. We live only 235 miles from Winterset so the trip will be short. We just need to figure out where to stay since I'm sure reservations are hard to come by by now.
I have some memorabilia but my pride and joy is my DVD collection of his movies. I have every single one of his movies, that has been released on DVD. Last count was 128 movies or 77% of the complete collection. The oldest movie I have of his is the 1926 "Brown of Harvard".
I'm happy to be here and let me know if I can be of any assistance. That'll be the day.
