Hi Kevin. Just joined & need more time to explore the site, however noticed you are from Atlanta. I live in the Atlanta area also. I've been a John Wayne fan since the first movie I saw - and I think that was "The High & The Mighty". Let me know if we have any events around our area. Thanks.
Hello from Barton (Bart) ... Thanks. I did leave a comment. I worked with John Wayne ... see website: BartonMacLeod.com I was born in Ireland and Maureen O'Hara looked at my website and mailed her picture signed from Ireland. I have the picture on my website. Cheers, Barton
Hey Kevin,Thank's for the welcome. The reason I joined was to tell the fan's about the surprise my father gave me last week. While he was in the Navy in the mid 50's J.W.made a movie on the aircraft carrier he was on called THE WING'S OF EAGLES.a few years ago he gave me a photo of the DUKE standing on the deck of the ship in his movie garb, then last week he told me he found a 8mm film marked J.W. and when I took it home and looked at it I was happy to find the whole reel was J.W. posing for pictures and sighning autographs for the sailors. It is in great shape and all in color.I only wish my dad would have been in the film but he was the camera man.I called the museum and they want a copy when I get it put on dvd.It is 1 of a kind and my dad has never seen it as he just sent film home to his parents. So what do you think is the value of somthing like this, thank you TODD KOHLER
Hi Kevin thanks for your Friendship !
A big hug from Italy and Good Easter to you!
