Dallas Buyers Club, emotional movie I highly recommend it
-
Judgement At Nuremberg and From Russia With Love. Two really good if very different movies,

I too watched It's A Wonderful Life. Was great seeing it on the big screen.

Great story Keith I find Hoffa very interesting especially given his disappearance and the polarizing opinions people have of him. In a similar vein tonight I watched The Untouchables another story which doesn't stick to the history. Costner was fine as the straight character Ness but it was Connery who really stole the show despite his terrible accent. DeNiro was an interesting choice for Capone but I think Bob Hoskins would have been the better choice, Morricone provided a great score. I don't know what it was about both Hoffa and The Untouchables but given their casts, subject matter and the people behind them they both should have been great movies but both really fell short despite being both watchable and entertaining.

Hoffa with Jack Nicholson and Danny De Vito interesting enough and I liked it but it really didn't have alot of depth to it considering Hoffa's rich life story. Liked the scenes with RFK best

Been watching some documentaries on the mafia lately, was watching the old british crime inc series. Great stuff

Yeah i'm abit late to the party but it's been very good so far and with everyone says how it gets even better my expectations are quite high!
-
Some more breaking bad, up to series 4 now and things are really heating up.
-
Escape Plan, it was decent but as a big Stallone fan I expected more.

They were expendable, I thought it was good but could have benefited from being more story focused as most of Ford's films are rather than being full of war footage which often goes on far too long in war films from this era.

Theater of Blood with Vincent Price, Halloween!
-
Been watching Breaking Bad, amazing show. Very suprised it lived up to the hype
-
Big Happy Days fan myself, have season one but really should invest in the others. Wish they were on Netflix. My favorite episode is the fencing one.

It's worth the effort for me just because it has the Duke in it and i'm aiming to watch everythings hes been in thats avaliable. As a film I didn't think it was great but it's probably fairly standard for most mid 1940's rom-coms. I found Claudette Colbert intensely annoying in this whereas I quite enjoyed her in It's a Wonderful World with Jimmy Stewart.

Without Reservations. Not the Duke's best to say the least, the idea had some potential and I quite liked the bits in Hollywood towards the end including the Grant cameo but the middle with the latin family and all the train stuff was pretty terrible. This really felt like much more of a Jimmy Stewart style movie than a Duke one but the Duke acquainted himself alright. Think alot more comedy could have been found if the film covered Duke trying to play the guy in the film but that may have been the kind of satire that was avoided at the time.

Saturday Night Fever
This film made me fall in love with movies, I don't think Travolta has ever had a performance this good since. -
The Iceman, good cast with a good story but it felt too short to really tell what it wanted. Would probably have worked better as a miniseries. Felt very rushed.

More Rockford, I very much like Joe Santos who plays Becker. He also popped up in The Sopranos.
