    hi robbie

we don't get those programmes over here but we do get "the bill" it has a large following over here. as i said earlier i don't know what neighbours is like as it is on when we have dinner and the telly is off.

chill the miners are the good guys to some extent and the coppers some only did as they were told while others took pleasure in doing it, if you look at it the whole issue is a complex one but this is where they say that the aussie spirit was born.

glad you liked tha coin the little bloke picked it himself. this time in our history was very similar to the gold rushes of america, the uprising was over digging licences and the government of the time kept rising the price of them and the diggers decided that they had had enough and that is how it started. this happen in victoria in the town of ballarat, like arthur said if you watch the chips rafferty movie it sticks pretty much to the facts even down to the last shot out. if i remember rightly they said that the price of the ticket was going up because of the bushrangers that kept holding up the gold wagons and therefore it wasn't getting into the governments coffers not only did they raise the price of the ticket they also raised the price of the food at the diggings by charging more for transportation so a lot of different things combined to make this happen.

i thankyou for the complement and i think he will make a lovely young man when he grows up if he continues down this way. he thinks the world of you and your book is his most treasured item he likes to try many things from the book at least once and he has found some favourites.

will find out more for you about ballarat for you
