Posts from SXViper in thread „How's The Weather“

Cold! Damn cold! In the past 2 1/2 weeks we have gotten 40 inches of snow, and another storm is on the way. Supposed to dump another foot on us by Sunday. Temps have been from -13 over night to 35 during the day. I'm getting just a little tired of this. Between shoveling snow, getting the vehicles stuck, and old Arthur-Itis bothering me, I just might move to Arizona with Chili Bill!

Well Bob, send some of that snow and cold up to Minnesota. The snowmobilers and ice fisherman are having a hard time of it this year. Believe it or not they are finally predicting seasonal high's in the teens for the next couple weeks. It has been running 10-20 degrees warmer since around Thanksgiving here in Minnesota.

Well, I will give you a report on the weather in Raleigh/Durham, NC. Its in the upper 50's to lower 60's, partly sunny. Nice change from my home from when I left, it was in the 20's!!!

Well, we just got socked with a foot of fresh new snow today. Kind of early to have this much snow. And I sold my sled so I am sure we are going to get more. Anyways, have to go clean off the driveway again. Hopefully it will get into the 40's and 50's and melt this off.

Nope ringo, the weatherman tonight said that the outlook till September is "drought is likely". This is not good for the corn and beans. Hope they are wrong.

Ringo, now you guys get the rain and they are talking possible draught conditions in Minnesota. Everything is looking dry and dusty. Not good for the crops up here. Pray for rain.

Hot here in Atlanta as well. Suppose to get some rain though from Alberto or whatever is left of him from what I am hearing. I just hope my flight can still leave on Friday morning.

We have been in the 80's or warmer since the middle of May, which is very unusual for Minnesota. But they are talking hi of 69 tomorrow and lower to middle 70's all next week.

That's a scary thought Emmanuel!!!

If my wife let me in the garden, we would have a sudden funeral for all the plants!!!!

Well I wish it was -5C as it is going to be a scorcher for this neck of the woods for the next couple days. We are hitting 88F today and 92F tomorrow with a heat index of 102F. Now for you folks in the warmer climates this may seem like a walk in the park, but for us Minnesotan's we are not used to this stuff, especially on Memorial Day weekend.

Hi Bill, I use #4 shot, and I try to get the 2 oz shot, it has alittle more knock down power :dead:

Hi Murray. I use a 12 ga shotgun with turkey loads. I got one late this morning, in the rain!! So thank god I am done. We only get 1 per hunter and it has to have a visible beard to shoot it. Mine had a 8 inch beard but he only weighed 12 lbs. Oh well, atleast I am not sitting in the rain anymore.

Well its Turkey hunting time for me so guess what. The darn weather is not cooperating. Rain and cold yesterday, today and on/off through tomorrow. Plus to top it all off, its been cold, and I mean cold. Even for Minnesota atandards. Were talking 30F degrees. That doesn't get the Turkey's moving at all!! Hopefully it will clear up here so I can bag one soon.

It just got done pouring, and I mean pouring here in Atlanta. WOW!! Lots of rain really quick. And from what I am hearing it isn't over till maybe Saturday morning.

Well, old man winter must have decided to wake up about 3 months too late as we are suppose to get another 6-8 inches of snow Wednesday night into Thursday. Gees, where was all this about 3 months ago???!!!!!!!! :frusty::frusty:
