Been cooling off here quite nicely the last few days. BTW, don't forget to set your clocks one hour back tonight.

You know, about a week ago, I just knew we were gonna get some much needed rain from Tropical Storm Fay, but for some reason it just doesn't rain here and Fay appears to be heading west as soon as it hit the Georgia, Florida border. Just wondering what it takes to get a little rain around here.
At least it has cooled off somewhat. -
WOW! Has it been over a month since anyone had any weather???? Well we've gotten quite a few much needed thunderstorms in the last couple of days. According to my rain gauge, about 3 much needed inches.
-
Last couple of days have been beeee-yoooooo-teeeeeee-fullllllllll!!!!! Still could use some rain though.
-
Cold....wet....rainy......

gt, we've been hearing on the radio about the weather you and Kevin have been having. We hope all is well for you guys!
Our weather has gone from mid-seventies sunny to low fifties, windy, unsettled conditions (torrential downpour one minutes, sunshine the next - CRAZY!). It's quite cold tonight (at least in comparison to what it's been - probably hit the thirties tonight, unless the breeze/wind keeps up (believe it or not, though it feels colder, the wind keeps the temperature from going as low as it would be without the wind).
ChesterThanks for the concern chester. All that we got was just some hail damage to one of our cars
, but that is nothing compared to what happened elsewhere. But today was a bee-yoo-tee-full day and quite warm as well.
-
We got through the first round of storms and there appear to be tornadoes popping up all over the place. Gotta go, another one seems to be coming through right now.
-
Just had some thunderstorms move out of the area. Thankful for the rain though. Lord knows we need it.
-
Guess who......
Still playing in the snow in Idaho. Just got the internet on today here so thought I'd warn ya....I'mmmmm Baaaaack....
Gotta run for now....
Missed all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CindyWell it's about time you showed back up and the Giants ARE better than the Patrio.......oops wrong thread.
Um, we had a beautiful day today. Nice clear skies, warm temps. Spring ain't too far away. -
The weather was not very kind to us today in Prattville. A tornado (not classified yet) hit our town of over 35,000 today in the afternoon. It hit a busy area of town where a lot of businesses are and a good portion of our residents live. It was reported that over 200 homes were hit from a little damage to destroyed. Over 25% of out town was out of electricity, and a major road closed due to debris and downed power lines.
The storm actually missed me and my home about 7 miles away. There is no indication of any damage where I live. We had some wind and rain where I lived, and a lot of weather warnings in my area. There were 5 tornado warnings spanning from about 12:30 p.m. (CST) to about 3:30 p.m. The last one was the one that did the damage. My brother and his wife was closer about 1 mile from the hit. He sustained no damage himself except no power for several hours. We lost our power for about 20 minutes.
The tornado ran its course for about 5 miles going northeast (like most tornadoes do). I haven't been over there to the area. It has been closed and we were told not to come, so I didn't come, and saw my information on TV. My brother and his wife came over for dinner and told us of the difficulty getting here.
The temperature was at 77F today, and suppose to be around 50F tomorrow with cloudy conditions. I saw the moon and stars tonight with a little breeze.
Thanks for you concerns and prayers. I came through it just fine.
CheersMike a.k.a. Hondo Duke Lane
Glad to hear everything turned out ok for you Hondo. I assume we got those same storms the next day, but all we got was just a little bit of lightning and thunder plus some much needed rain. Nothing too serious though.
Today we got what we call a "false spring". -
We are getting a good dose of rain and thunderstorms right now. We've been cool and it has been very windy. Wind gust of over 45 mph. Cooler tomorrow but clearing up and more wind but not as windy. We might have a surplus of rain for January. We are not out of the woods yet, but we seem to have a great start for 2008.
Cheers
Hondo, I like reading your weather reports, cause I basically know what we're gonna get the next day and right now, I can hear the rain dropping down on this ol' tin roof and it sounds so good. -
Man it's cold here. What I wouldn't give for just a touch of that global warming that seems to be all the rage.
-
cold, Cold, COLD!!!!!
-
It was snowing BIG flakes here, and the ground is white!
Same here, but it turned to rain. -
I had to drive to work this morning in some serious lightning, thunder, and heavy (but much needed) rain this morning. Kevin, how was the weather up your way?
-
It's getting cold enough that I gotta go wrap some pipes shortly. BRRRRRRRRR
-
Cooling off and breeeeeeeeeeeeezy.
-
But.....but.............Algore won a Nobel prize for denying such weather exists, Todd.
Well, I don't know much about this global warming, but I do know that if Santa comes to the southeast, he'd better check the freon in that sled of his. Unless something drastic happens in the next few days, I'll be in shorts and t-shirt on Christmas day. -
Well I think it'd be a favor to my bad shoulder to let you guys keep the snow as well as the awfully cold weather you guys get. We don't see much snow round these parts, but when we do, it all just seems to turn to ice and make a mess!!!!

Seems like Christmas in July around here. We reached a freezing 80 degrees here today. Doesn't feel like December at all.
