Well, we supposedly reached 101 today, but the weatherman has promised that relief is on the way. Next week we'll cool off to the freezing mid 90's. Better crank up the heater now.

The Mrs. LOVES vine-ripened maters (as do I!)!
The weather's warming up around here, hitting 92º today. But it's been good hot-dog selling weather, as we had one of our best days at the park so far this summer, today.

Yup tow-maters....ain't nothing I love no better than a mater, a coupla slices of bread, some mayo, a touch of salt and pepper and I swear that if you put it on my forehead my tongue would beat my brains out trying to get to it. Hmmm, maybe I should have put this one on the ummm ummm good thread
Getting back to the subject though, Still hotter'n Hades 'round these parts. I think we broke 100 again today. -
The sun will pass the celestial equator heading south on Sept. 23, which will mark the first day of autumn. Of course, for us South Texans, Carl, as you know, probably our first bit of cooler weather won't come until mid-October

Well, after a week of 100+ temps, we finally cooled off to the upper 90's.

Amazingly dry enough to do some painting outside without getting rained on
I was outside in 95-100 degree heat building a deck. Oh as far as the weather goes,

Well, the storms appeared to have cleared out and out comes the Blistering Hot Sun!!!!!!!

You guys (and gals) from Texas sure do deliver. We have had rain for the last three days and lovin' it! We got about eight tenths of an inch on Saturday, and about a quarter of an inch yesterday. But today we got the big prize, we got one inch and fifty-seventh hundredths of an inch today. Funny how a little rain makes grass green. This is the first time in a long time we've seen our grass green. A little to late for me. Ours is just about gone. We have a shade grass that does not recover very well.
It turned very muggy and hot today until about 1:15 p.m. and the rain came down very hard for almost two hours. A very good soaker. It looks a more in the forecast tomorrow.

Those Texas storms just got finished with us as well. -
Thunderstorms rolled through earlier today. On the way to make a b-double-e-double-r-u-n, we actually passed by a house that was struck by lightning and was up in flames. Everyone was okay except for their loss.

Ahhhhh. The rains finally moved in and provided us with some much needed relief from the heat and dryness.

Weeeelllllll....checked out the weather channel this morning aaaannnnnnd...there was this big circle over Ga. and Ala. People to the north of us were getting rain, people to the west of us were getting rain, people to the south of us were getting rain, ain't nothing east of us but the Atlantic. We must not be living right.

The weatherman "claimed" the temps were only "supposed"to be in the mid 80's today, but that was the hottest "mid 80's" I've ever felt!!!

Very Hot and Dry. Reached 100F again today. Rain to the east, west, north and south. Just none here. We must not be living right. Just right over us. This is about the 53rd straight day of no rain. Alright, we did get .013 inches of rain recently. But that's all.
Let's see what we get tomorrow. Hot and dry in the forecast.

Another hot and steamy day today. Been sitting outside the last hour watching the lightning. Looks like we may have another t-storm before the night is over.
