Battle Los Angeles-I liked it alot, nice effects, story, and acting-satisfying ending IMHO-there was one line in the movie that took place after a solider does a heroic act, his Lieut. told him "don't be pulling that John Wayne s**t", and one of the younger soldiers goes "who's John Wayne?"!

also saw The Next Three Days with Russell Crowe-not bad, and Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon-just ok
-
Drive Angry-Nicholas Cage & muscle car chases-gotta admit I enjoyed it-
-
The Getaway is a great film! Mcqueen was never better, and the cast, including Ben Johnson, was perfect. Skip the remake at all costs!
-
Unknown-Liam Neeson, OK actioner
The Clinic-Aussie horror film full of plot holes -
The Black Sleep-old school 50s horror film with Basil Rathbone as Dr. Gordon Ramsey (the original "Hell's Kitchen"?) Also stared Lon Chaney and Bela Lugosi.
-
Sactum-I saw it "flat" w/out the 3D effects-maybe they would have improved it, but doubtful.
Sacrifice-anything with Cuba Gooding seems to have "dog" written all over it and this was no exception. Add Christain Slater and it had no chance-total amatuer nite. -
That picture was partly filmed here in San Antonio. My father-in-law was assistant manager of the Holiday Inn in downtown San Antonio where some of the actors were staying and got to chat it up with Devane. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet him.
Pretty cool anyway! -
Rolling Thunder-A Death Wish variation, starring William Devane & Tommy Lee Jones. Returning POW from the Vietnam war sees his family murdered, and tracks down the killers-James Best and Luke Askew among others-to exact his revenge. EXTREMELY violent, but it's always been a favorite of mine.
-
Little Fockers-I didn't expect much and wasn't disappointed;
Lightning Bugs-drama of a teen growing up in the south during the 80s-pretty good overall;
The Resident-Hillary Swank being stalked by her landlord Dean Morgan-just an Ok thriller. -
The Middle Men with Luke Wilson. Deals with the start in the internet porn industry-has james Caan as a slimey lawyer, Kelsey Grammer in a cameo, and other familiar faces. Actually quite good.
-
Due Date & Jack Black's Gulliver's Travels-glad I didn't spend money to see them...
-
The Mechanic-Jason Statham-ok, but Bronson's film was better;
Let Me In-slow moving horror film from the restarted Hammer Films-not bad tho;
Faster-The Rock-barely watchable- -
Dang-I caught Bad Day at Black Rock, but missed The Wild Bunch! Was it the Director's Cut?
Otherwise, I watched Winter's Bone, Vanishing on 7th Street, and The Big Bang with Antonio Banderas (another remake of Farewell My Lovely). -
Green Hornet-if you pretty much forget or ignore everything you know about the character, it's mildly entertaining. Kato is the real star tho. Lots of childish, lame jokes, and pretty much an insult to previous TV and serial versions.
-
The Rock-LOVE this film!
-
The Company Men with Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones, and Kevin Costner in a small supporting role. A grim film about corporate downsizing and layoffs, with a somewhat happy ending. No real surprises, but nice performances.
-
Yep-she was still gorgeous as Duke's ex in McQ-
-
The Fighter-the fight scenes didn't seem to be choreographed too well, but it was good anyway.

The Indestructible Man-1955 Lon Chaney Jr. horror film on VHS. It was part of a set of remastered horror films with intros by Tony Curtis from 1998. GAWD Curtis was TERRIBLE!
