This weeks episode of The Walking Dead, and this week's Boardwalk Empire-both leading to explosive finales next weekend.

Just watched ATM, End of Watch, Argo, Lincoln, and Skyfall. Big movie weekend-

Well Keith.
I can see you are a little long in the tooth like me.
I read the Bond books when I was in high school. After seeing From Russia with Love.
Sean Connery is and will always be the number one Bond.
Roger Moore made Bond more like a comic book.
But Daniel Craig has taken Bond back to the Bond of the books.
All I can say is watch his Casino Royale and judge for yourself.
All three of his Bond movies are worth the time.
The Bonds "jumped the shark" for me, beginning with On Her Majesty's Secret Service, continuing with Diamonds Are Forever, and thru the Roger Moore films. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved the Moore films, but none of these came close to matching the early films in the series. The Craig films are easily as good as the early Bonds. -
Another episode of Boardwalk Empire-things are REALLY getting heated there;
Lawless-Tom Hardy, Guy Pierce, Shia LeBouf-just ok, 1920s moonshine runners;
Rob Roy-Liam's version from about 10 years ago-VERY good. -
Peppard was in Tobruk, IMHO doing a decent German accent.
-
Tobruk, and it's poor relation, Raid on Rommel-Tobruk better than expected, RoR about not so great.
-
Earlier this week I caught Casino Royale, and Quantom of Solace on TV to gear up for the newest Bond.
-
Yep, I really enjoy the recent Bonds, and Craig makes a great one.
-
How was it? I'm looking forward to seeing it-
-
The latest Walking Dead, latest Vegas, latest Boardwalk Empire, American Pickers, and American Pawn (the last 2 are guilty pleasures-hokey as hell, but informative)

yeah seen that one a few times, and it is a bit creepy for its time. Nice cast of supporting actors: LQ, Strother, Alvy Moore, etc. I should dig it out since its been awhile since I saw it last-thanks for bringing it up!

I saw it on it's original release, and loved it then and now. Thought, for it's time, it had some great action and plot twists. I watch it a couple times a year and never tire of it. Plus, a take of $21,000,000 was petty respectible.

Same here, caught Halloween on the big screen rerelease. Just great seeing it that way again.
-
Stolen with everyone's favorite, Nicholas Cage;
and The Campaign with Will Farrell-liked 'em both. -
You too! That's just unfair! I love these universal horror classics. Are they showing them across the country or are you in the same neck of the woods as phantomstranger!
This year is Universal's 100th Anniversary, so they are showing some of their classic films at a number of theaters across the US. Each special showing is on the same day and time at all theaters-usually, I think, on a Weds. Last month they had The Birds, and I think next is To Kill A Mockingbird. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-H…/ncm-classic-movie-series
By the way, starting this weekend, the 1978 John Carpenter Halloween will be showing at select theaters. We're all going on Monday to the local showing. http://www.screenvision.com/cinema-events/halloween/ -
Frankenstein & Bride of Frankenstein on the big screen last nite. Nice copies of the films (Satellite broadcast from TCM), and decent size crowd for a mid week show. Great fun!
-
Caught a few movies since last nite: The Blues Brothers (still holds the record I think for most cars demolished in a film), Killer Joe-violent, a bit gory, and definitely not for everyone's tastes; and Baby's Day Out-John Hughes film I finally got around to watching, some funny scenes but not his best.

Totally agree, they are different enough to be enjoyed separately. Decent remakes have that effect on me. Unfortunately, most remakes don't make the cut.
