This years best picture THE HURT LOCKER. One great film.

I have been watching the great HBO series The Pacific.
About the Marines in WWII. This is right up your alley Carl. This is extremely well done telling of what brave men went through for our freedom. -
Stand By For Action 1942. Robert Taylor, Brian Donlevy,Charles Laughton with Walter Brennan and Chill Wills. WWII navy film with a little drama, comedy and very little action. not bad and not great.

One of the greatest pieces of acting by an all-star cast ever put to film. -
COMPULSION. 1959
Very good telling of the Leopold-Loeb murder case of the 1920s.
Fine acting all around. -
The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad. Great Ray Harryhausen special effects.
I also enjoyed a Harryhausen film. The Clash of The Titans. -
One of my all time favorite character pieces. 12 ANGRY MEN.
Henry Fonda with 11 other fine performances. -

INGLOURIOUS BASTEROS.
Strange but enjoyable rewrite of history. The opening theme song is THE GREEN LEAVES OF SUMMER from Dukes Alamo. Way to go Quentin. -
The Crowded Sky 1960.
One of many airplane films inspired by The High and the Mighty.
This film was not that mighty. -
Made me brakeout my copy (vhs) of my favorite Harryhousen film.
EARTH VS FLYING SAUCERS. (1956) -
The Killers. With Burt Lancaster in his first film.
A very good crime drama. -
The Road To Bali. Hope, Crosby & Lamour.
I love these old road movies. They have made me laugh since I was a kid in the 50's. I,am right up there with you Chester. -

I just bought the second season of COLUMBO.
I,ve seen them all before but still enjoy watching over and over througt out the years. -
This is a total movie day.
Number three is - An Everlasting Piece. Irish made.
Two mates one catholic one protestant sell mens hair pieces in Belfast in 1980. Very funny at times. very meaningful at other times. -
Watched "Vantage Point" - fascinating look at a terrorist attack on the United States President in a foreign country from different points of view. Dennis Quaid shines as a secret service agent. Many character actors visible here.
I agree watched this film today. -

Good family fun. pirates and buried treasure movie.
