I got to watch a few days worht of races and thought this year was much better than the past few years-scandal-wise.

Hi Jay, Lance Armstorng is coming out of retirement. Though he does want to win an 8th time, mostly he's doing it to promote his Foundation which is called: "Livestrong." This Foundation was started by him and has something to do with fighting Cancer-or something like that?

Hi Sally, thanks for the results. I did not get to watch the last several days of the race and did not hear any results on the one news station we could barely pick-up as we do not have cable TV-or satallite yet.
I too am a bit disappointed at George Hincapie-he's rapidly blowing his chances for a win and nobody will remember the person who came in 35th place--at least not for long
I hope Cadell Evans takes the yellow next year. -
Well Cavendish finished his tour for this year. Last saturday was his last day. Now he needs to rest because he said that after the Giro and this Tour he was very tired and in less than 3 weeks he has to be in China for the Olympics. He can't be beaten in a sprint, I've seen him in the flesh some months ago and honestly he pops up from nowhere. Brilliant to see it "live". I bet he'll do great at the Olympics...
Hi Sally, thanks for the info on him-I guess he can alway stry it again next tour? Also, I heard that there is a Tour of Missouri here in the states. I wonder if Versus will show it? If so, im watching it.
Also, I think Cadel Evans, the Australian, will win it this year. They guy is great to watch riding. I wonder what happened to George Hincapie? I mean, I don't see them show or say much about him? Also, he better try winning a tour soon-he aint getting any younger. -
Thanks to the move and plans for surgery, I have only seen bits and pieces again. I heard that they are about to gang up on Cavendish. There was a huge number of riders who are clumped together and who are all now going to focus on beating Cavendish. I sure hope this guy has not used any enhancing drugs? or i'll so darn disappointed.

I've been watching bits and pieces of Le Tour-between paking stuff into boxes getting ready to move.
-
I've seen bits and pieces of that race as well as the Tour of Calif/ but never had enough time to really get into it. I hope that during my move to Houston, that I don't miss too much of the TdF races.
-
Hi Sally, im counting down the days until I have the world at my fingertips. ;-))
-
Hi Sally, im thinking that that "sometime" will hopefully be in late July ;-)) I hope I don't miss the entire race because of moving house?
-
Thanks for these but, Grrr, I still can't access utube stuff yet ;-D
-
Hi Sally, i've never ben there but always wanted to go visit. I KNOW it's a Country full of beautiful scenery ;-))
-
Hi Sally, WHEW and thanks for the link. Im like Jay, I only discovered that Versus had it on by accident when I was looking for something to watch. Thanks for the news on the other races as well and hopefully we will have some broadcast here. ;-D

Hi Moonshine.S. I don't know? there were some major racing going on in California in the lastr week or so. I thought this race was the Tour of Calif/ but I may be wrong ;-))
-
Thanks Sally. Also, I was only able to catch just a little bit of the Tour of Calif races. This year though I hope to be able to catch all of the Le Tour de France.
-
Thank you M.S. I just took a peek into the site and like it. Thanks much and Merry Christmas ;-))
-
Hi MoonshineS thanks for your info on these other races. That kinda makes waiting for the next TdF a bit shorter in a way. ;-))
-
I heard on the news today that the decision came down against him. That's a shame!
Cheers - Jay
I don't trust their opinion because of the lie that they tried to place on Lance Armstrong on his last Tour. Had that not happened, i'd be inclined to believe them about Floyd Landis - but I do not believe it. -
MoonshineS. thanks for all this extra news on the bicycle races. The months are counting down for the ToCalif. And I can't wait to see it.
-
Same here Jay. I played Soccer for two years. As I recall, our team colors (for both teams) was Red & White and the team names were: Tornado's & the Celtics - (respectively) pronounced keltics-and not the same as the pro sports team.
Strangely enough, I played Baseball for two years and both team colors were also red & white. The teams were: the Bulldogs & the Indians.
The red & white stopped when I played Football. The colors were Green and Gold, and I can't remember this teams name. I THINK this teams name was the: Mavericks? but I am not 100% sure?
Anyway, back to Bicycle racing. I'm counting down the weeks for next years Tours. -
Thank you Moonshine.S, i'll be looking forward to your updates.
(SIGH) I wonder why Rasmussen messed up like he did? I think he would have won the Tour this year. What a waste of talent. I wonder if he will now have to flip burgers in order to make a living?
I wonder why the Discovery team disbanded? Those guys were on top of the world. Do you have anymore info on why they no longer are a team? I had not heard anything about it in the news (so what's new?)
