Jim, the number of times I have done that, is sad,
the keys are next to one another,
and I am forever going back and changing it.Mind you after updating over 160 movie reviews so far,
what can you expect??
Thanks for pointing it out -
I have finally completed updating and editing
all of the 160+ Duke's Movie Reviews. They are now all re-formatted and all have the same layout,
i.e. all information sections running in the same order.
Plot Summary, Full Cast, Writing Credits, Produced, Original Music etc.Any member, being interested in say Filming Locations
will find it in the same place on each review.Where there is a section missing, e.g Triva,
that means there is no information availableHope you enjoy the new updates, and thanks for your support

Thanks for pointing it outNo need to thank me, I was being a wiseguy. Thanking me will only lead to more needless and only funny to me comments.

have yet to see this one. Didn't make too many movies as a athlete. In the quiet Man he was a retired boxer, wasn't there a movie in the early thirties were he played a football player?

He played a football player in a couple, back in those days -
Hi
In Brown of Harvard he was an uncredited extra doubling for Francis X Bushman in a football picture
In The Drop Kick he was an unbilled spectator
Salute he was a football player billed as Duke Morrison
Maker of Men in his last film for Columbia he again played a football player
In College Coach a football player with one line and in Trouble Along the Way he portrays a football coach.
Other sporting films include
The Life of Jimmy Dolan in which he is a boxer and in Idol of the Crowds he is a pro Hockey player.
Regards
Arthur

Haven't watched it in a while but I'm pretty sure there are scenes at the beginning of Men are Like That (In Old Arizona) where he was a football player prior to being commissioned in the Army -

Bajac, I think you are correct.
I haven't seen it for a long time either,
but the opening line of the Plot Summary says thisQuoteWest Point football star Bob Denton is a protege of Colonel Holmes,
Please see.
Men Are Like That (1931)Also I have not seen this one, but wasn't Duke
an old disgraced baseball player inTV-"Alcoa Premiere"-Flashing Spikes (1962)
Thanks Arthur for giving us the previous info.

I have a really terrible copy of Flashing Spikes but Duke only did a cameo as the umpire of an Army baseball game in Korea. Jimmy Stewart played the older baseball player with Pat Wayne as the rising star. -

Ah, thanks for this, I saw Duke was in Korea,
