    One of four people to have appeared in a record five Best Picture Oscar winners: All the King's Men, Around the World in Eighty Days, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, and You Can't Take It with You. The other actors are Franklyn Farnum, Bess Flowers, and Wallis Clark.


    He served in an Australian Light Horse regiment (probably WWI), and at least once was credited as Major.


    Appeared in at least three Perry Mason episodes. His last appearance in film was in the Disney classic _The_Ugly_Dachsund_. Lived to be 92.
