Plot Summary
After a health crisis, Dave Hart fulfils a dream,
buying a Nevada ranch and moving his reluctant family there.
His new home is in disrepair, so the city family has a lot to learn,
especially from irascible employee Jake.

Harts of the West is an American Western/comedy–drama series starring Beau Bridges
and his father, Lloyd Bridges, set on a dude ranch in Nevada.
The series aired on CBS from September 1993, to June 1994.

In the story line, Dave Hart (Beau Bridges), sustains a heart attack.
He leaves his job as an underwear salesman and heads with his family
to the fictitious Sholo, Nevada in the American West.
There, Dave tries to revive the defunct Flying Tumbleweed Dude Ranch,
where Jake Terrel, played by Lloyd Bridges, had worked years earlier.
The 15-episode series ran from September 25, 1993,
to January 29, 1994, and again from June 4–June 18, 1994.

I loved this show what little I was permitted to see by the network heads.

This country needs shows of this type. Sorry if it didn't have sex,
violence or bad language every 5 seconds NOT!!!.
In fact we really need more shows like it not less.
The actors and crew worked
very hard to be thrown in the trash heap so easily.
To pre-empt a show of quality for garbage should not be allowed to be a sign of the times.
We even seem to needs sex, violence and bad language on sports shows
like we had to endure on the Super Bowl game half time show.
Why does Hollywood think Movies like 'The Passion Of Christ' is still so popular?
'The Walton's' are still seen in re-runs, so is 'Gunsmoke',
'The Dick Van Dyke Show' and 'The Honeymooners'.
TV Land is a very popular channel to all ages.
