  • Hi folks, just wanted to introduce myself, I am 28 and as a child grew up watching many old movies with my father - movies with the likes of Errol Flynn, Charlton Heston and of course John Wayne. I especially used to love watching the War Wagon and the Comancheros as a kid!

I've found myself getting into the duke's films more and more since i got into my 20s and a friend of mine from work who is a big fan is 19, so i dont think age makes much difference to whether you're a fan.

Anyways I'm looking forward to exploring the forum more. Recently picked up a few JW films on DVD that I hadnt seen before - El Dorado and Big Jake - and enjoyed them both.

    Cheers,
    Chris

  • Hi rollahardsix. Welcome to the JWMB. Those two are among my favorites in the John Wayne canon. We have members from every age group and we especially appreciate the youngsters here because they will carry on the love for JW and his movies. Glad to have you aboard!

  • Welcome to the group, rollahardsix. Jump right in and enjoy yourself. Plenty to read and do here. I'm always glad to find younger people who feel the same way we all do about Duke.
