Howdy Everyone,
I've just noticed that The Sweetheart Of Sigma Chi Google video was removed. The old link is here...
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3563030986981993208
Did anyone here happen to rip it and save a copy?
Sure would appreciate help getting a download!

Chris Elliott

Hey there everyone,
I posted previously about my Duke DVD collection going up for sale and offered it here first. I had several people message me, but no one came through with payment.
I've listed on eBay and if you want a break down of everything, checkout the listing....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321333581373
If anyone on the forum here buys through the auction, PM me and I'll include 8-10 extra movies that I purchased off of eBay from a collector. These extra movies are on DVD-R's, but full color printing on disc, full color covers made with original movie posters and in full DVD cases. These were made with available copies of the movies before Olive Films put them out on Bluray. Obviously Olive has better quality, but for the sake of including a bonus if any of my brothers (or sisters) from the forum buy, they are available.
Thanks,
Chris Elliott
Hi Irish,
Yep, I don't deny the quality of the transfer is good. I was just disappointed that the bluray was no improvement and I just spent $20 (again) to upgrade the bluray. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.

I just bought the bluray version of the criterion collection version of Stagecoach. I also have the DVD version. I compared the two and to me, they seem like the same transfer. Not sure if it's just my eyes, but the small comparison I did, some parts of the bluray seemed to even be a bit darker, and therefore not as good of a picture as the DVD version. Additionally, there are letterbox bars on the right and left on the bluray version that are not present on the DVD version, which fills the entire screen. I noticed on the back of the bluray box, it makes no reference to this being a new transfer, but does say that it has uncompressed audio, which the DVD did not have.
Can anyone comment on this that has knowledge of the bluray transfer. Kind of feel like I've been hoodwinked by the studio on this one.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi everyone,
I just bought a used copy of True Grit in the steel book packaging and there are no inserts or artwork contained within, just the disc. I just wanted to see if anyone that bought it new can confirm that no inserts came with the disc.
Thanks!
Chris
Hi everyone,
I posted my VHS tapes previously and now I'm posing my extra DVD's. Time to clean house and make room on my DVD case for completion of my Disney collection to go alongside my Duke collection. I was going to list on eBay but figured I'd let my friends here have a shot at grabbing everything first.
I'm looking to sell the whole lot together. There are about 65 John Wayne movies, 4 movies he produced but didn't act in (in a boxed set), and 18 other movies contained on the Western Classics boxed set. There are a small number of duplicates, but many of the doubles include special features and bonus discs/material that are unique to that specific release including documentaries about the movies or interviews. I live in Texas and shipping will likely be around $25 for everything. I'll make sure everything is securely packaged. Most items are in like new condition and have been well taken care of in a smoke free home. A giant leap on completing your Duke collection on DVD, close to half of his film output in one shot Included are some of the more expensive and sought after boxed sets, special editions, rare imports, and other quality releases.
I've attached a photo to this post of the all of the DVD's spread out.
Most of you likely already know about most of these releases so my going into detail about them is unnecessary. I spent well over $600 buying all of this stuff, but am willing to cut a reasonable deal. Drop me an offer via PM.

Hey there everyone,
I'm doing some cleanup of my collection including getting rid of the last of my VHS tapes and figured I'd let everyone here have a chance to grab them before I list them on eBay.
I'll let the whole lot go for a fair price. I've attached a few images of the two boxed sets, as well as all of the tapes spread out individually.
Here's what you get:
Individual Titles

John Wayne Film Set (10 VHS Boxed Set In Collectors Cardboard Box)

John Wayne Collectors Series (3 VHS Boxed Set In Collectors Cardboard Box)

All tapes are in great condition and have been cared for well in a smoke free home.
I'm guessing it will run about $15 to ship the lot via media mail within the US.
I'm also including a bonus VHS, which doesn't contain the Duke called Guns In The Dark starring Johnny Mack Brown.
Reply here or shoot me a PM if you're interested.
Have A Happy Sunday,
Chris Elliott
Why was my new thread added to the end of this post, 16 pages deep? Seems like a great way to make sure I get no response at all

Hi Everyone,
To us Duke fans, it's no secret that getting quality releases of his early movies can be a chore. There is an endless supply of collections that have been released by companies such as...
Mill Creek, Delta, Pop Flix, Good Times Video, Madacy, Passport, Alpha Entertainment, Image Entertainment, Plus More...
My question is this...
Has anyone here gone through the process of buying and comparing the quality of these releases to see which set has the best quality both in terms of video and audio?
This information would be immensely valuable to me, and surely to the other members of our community.
Thanks and happy new year!
Chris Elliott
Does anyone know what happened to Elly?

Hi Everyone,
I just noticed a Bob Hope DVD box set was released, which includes the movie Cancel My Reservation, which The Duke makes an appearance in...
Cancel My Reservation On Amazon
I'm picking it up today. Another movie on official DVD The amount of movies not available for retail purchase on official DVD is slowly dwindling down.
Best of all, it's 6 movies on 3 DVD's for about 20 bucks...not a bad deal.
Enjoy,
Chris Elliott
