I thought I may start a new thread for members here to post up pictures of scenic beauty, countryside views etc
Yesterday, during a brief lull in the wet and windy weather we have been having, I took the wife and 2 dogs for a hike to Alderley Edge in Cheshire

The Cheshire Plain has seen a lot of history over the centuries, from Celts to Saxons and Romans
It is said Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobite army passed along the plain in their invasion of England
Also there are tales of witchcraft & wizards abound
