The hubby and I, along with our three dogs and the hampster (yes, I said the hampster) will be sitting in front of the fireplace in a 200 year old log cabin tucked in the mountains of Gatlinburg Tennessee for the entire week of Christmas until Monday. I sooooo hope we get some snow.

Watched The Singing Nun with Debbie Reynolds last night on TCM. I really liked the movie. Very entertaining and it gave a range of emotions throughout. They even had a behinds the scenes show right after the movie, which was quite interesting.

So sorry to hear about Tony Curtis's passing. What a great actor....so many fabulous movies. A legend that can never be replaced. Deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Well, its the same as my user name, was never very good at picking those things. I am 34 and work in law enforcement. It's hard being of the younger generation and being a John Wayne fan since he died only a couple years after I was born. However, I remember watching his movies growing up, and still I think they are better than the stuff coming out now. Not to mention, John Wayne had much more class than the leading men now. He was larger than life. If you ask me my favorite JW film, well, I can't give you that because I have too many good one's to choose from.
Hi David and welcome to the board. There are a bunch of wonderful people here to give you all the information you could ever hope for about John Wayne. Hang on, it will be one heck of a ride.

I've been so busy I forgot to post my report. LOL! I thought this movie was a little slow and would liked to have seen a little more action. I too liked the chemistry with Becall and Duke, I think they played well off of each other. I have always enjoyed her films as well. I did, as usual, like the comic aspect of Duke's acting, which he gave little glimpses of throughout. Not a favorite, but I am glad to have it in my "little" collection.

Dolly Parton - a true songbird
I love many, many artists and different varities of music, but she is my all time favorite - Just like Mr. Wayne in the acting category.
