Well, Thank You for sharing these sites with us, as I suspect many will follow your lead.

No problemo, if it helps with peoples Christmas shopping or gift buying then it was worth the time. Although I don't think I need to add this, don't forget to factor in shipping when seeing which site has the better deal.

Shipping times are anywhere from 2 days all the way up to 9 days at least for me here in Idaho.

I just now saw these other responses, sorry for the delayed response.

That's a real action fest you got going there! Enjoy

I love action movies, and I love collecting movies..... my big problem is if I like an actor I just gotta get them all . So you will find almost the the complete works of the likes of Roy Rogers, Lundgren and etc.

How did you get all of these for that price? was it a five finger discount?:lol::lol: Just kidding on that but not a bad score.

. seriously though I have had my eyes on these titles for quite a while, and when the price was right I struck with a vengeance and easily saved 100 dollars on just three titles.
Downside is, now a few of those titles are regularly below the 10 dollar range I have limited myself to.

Any chance you could mention where you found such a deal? Were these DVD's or VHS?

It was a multitude of sites, a little here, a little there. But if you wish here are the sites I used. I forgot to mention that most of them were used. For your convenience, all sites are linked just click on the name.

fye.com - Periodically, they great deals on their used stuff. Free shipping on orders over $30

    gohastings.com - .96 cents shipping per DVD/CD

    amazon.com - I love their marketplace

oldies.com - Currently they have a clearance section of DVD's $2.98 or less
Also offer a flat rate shipping fee

secondspin.com - As the name suggests, they are a used site but they do occasionally have deals that cat not be beat. Also they have a flat rate shipping fee.

I have used all of these sites numerous times and have had no problems with at all.

Here's one that caught my eye, apparently he was one of Duke's friends.

    Ed Smart dies at 92

Smart led what might best be described as the life of a man's man. He flew a plane for the U.S. Army Air Corps in the D-Day invasion. He fought the government and other landowners over mining claims in Colorado. He was a friend of actor John Wayne and writer Rob MacGregor (author of the six original Indiana Jones novels), and is said to have provided story fodder to MacGregor, best-selling writer of westerns Louis L'Amour and others.

Probably in the wrong spot and late to boot... but I just found out about the remake of this movie.

The Dawn Rider Available exclusively at Wal-Mart
Nassar Entertainment and Vivendi Entertainment have announced that they will release on Blu-ray director Terry Miles' western Dawn Rider (2012), starring Donald Sutherland, Christian Slater and Jill Hennessy. This remake of the classic John Wayne film, which will street on May 29th, will be available for purchase exclusively at Wal-Mart.

Christian Slater (Lies & Illusions), Jill Hennessy (TV's Crossing Jordan) and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games) star in this gripping story of vengeance and passion set in the American West. When the father of gunslinger John Mason (Slater) is shot to death by masked bandits, Mason sets out with guns blazing to track down those who killed him. During his quest, he finds himself involved in a grim love triangle when he falls for Alice, the determined and beautiful woman also adored by John's best friend. Based on the timeless John Wayne adventure, Dawn Rider is a riveting saga of retribution, duty and valor in the American West.

Shemp was good but-- "Babe" will always be my favorite. To me this is like comparing Apples to Oranges kinda thing. I know Shemp was the original 3rd (under Ted Healy) but he aint Curly ;-)) Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

Well how about this? Shemp was the only stooge man enough to square off with both John Wayne and Abbott & Costello. No other stooge can claim that.

I think ill check Amazon more when looking for more movies. TCM imo--is also way over-priced. The main reason I still used DDDvD-is only because they seemed to still have one of the best selections of movies I like but-they also have tons of garbage too. Ill do some looking on Amazon and see whats available? If they look better than DD--ill never place another order with them again.

In my opinion, Amazon is just awesome. They have a marketplace where can sometimes get a great deal on stuff. The only downside is if you buy multiple items from the same seller, they don't combine shipping. But the risk of getting ripped off is minimal because they set t hings up in the buyers favor.

Deep Discount is my last resort, as they are pricier than Amazon on a lot of things, and sometimes they are more expensive than the few stores I have around here. Deep Discount has nearly priced themselves out of my range, especially when I can go through Amazon's marketplace and get some great deals.

I'm known for bringing up the tail-end here and so it is this time. So let me offer you a very warm welcome, Mr. Valance, to our happy website where you are urged to join in often. You'll find a lot to slake your interest in Duke and many other topics.

Actually I thought, that was my job.

Anyway I extend a most warm and heartfelt welcome to the best John Wayne message board on the web.

Well, I have ripped the Dvds onto an external hard drive, then it is streamed to network enabled TVs around the house, so it's like a hybrid home entertainment system ! So all the movies are stored in a small box , then accessed via a folder system on the TV .....

Thanks, that gives me something to look into.
