Watched the latest Spider Man. Disappointed . How many re-starts do they need ? Appealing to a young audience? Yup. For those of us who grew up reading the comics back in the 50’s and 60’s , it sucks.

Y'all are making me want to get out the copy of The Alamo I have , and watch it again. Can't remember for sure , but think I recorded it off a
satellite dish , 10 foot, back before they started encrypting everything . But, it was recorded on VHS , and they always appeared grainy when played , or recorded onto DVD. Maybe I'll look around for the DVD , even if it's not Blu-ray , it's probably better than the copy I've got ! Time is a problem, too. It's a pretty long movie, isn't it? Hard to find time to watch it at a single sitting.

This movie was on a DVD set I recently purchased . We watched it several days ago. I don't remember ever seeing it before. It was an eye-opening experience, for sure. JW became the character he was playing. I found the movie very interesting, and revealing at the same time. Who amongst us, at one time or another , has not wanted something so badly , we would become hysterical if anything came between us and the object of our passion? To the point of killing , well, that's another matter. Nonetheless, it was well played , I liked the ending, and would rate it as a top notch first effort , especially for a first time in a lead role.

I have a laserdisc player still. Think I still have a DVD recorder too.
Off topic , but I have an unopened Dolby Digital LD set of the first 3 Star Wars box set.

Thanks ! I'm using an iPad , and some things don't seem to work, like clicking links . I am a long time fan of John Wayne, have lots of his movies , but at this time in my life, I don't have much time to devote to my interests. Work. I did have a question I wanted to post in a forum, about one of JWs westerns , which has been bugging me for Years . Can seem to be able to start a new thread?
