    Hi 4782UU

Glad you are still keeping the forum alive Kevin. I have gained most of my John Wayne information here. Facebook is not for me.

I finally came back here after a long time, and it was very enjoyable. A few members I know are dead and there might be some I don't know about. Reading the old posts give me good memories. Maybe people who come here can post a little bit about themselves. I entered the site about 20 years ago and am a western fan from Norway. I was active for a while, but it died down a little. Still love westerns and John Wayne.

    :)

I liked this film. Better watch it again soon. I remember reading about Brando's total lack of interest in the movie, but he always owned the screen, in this one and most of the others he was in. Keep up the good work Keith!

I also check in frequently. I have never posted that much, but I like to see if there is some activity here. The site is a great resource for anyone looking for information about John Wayne.

Know what you mean, Kevin. For many months I haven't watched any movies at all. Been mostly reading because a friend recommended an author named Sandra Brown who writes fairly good mystery stories but she is obsessed with sex. Which I just don't understand because she is one fine-looking gal who wouldn't have a bit of problems attracting a man.

Anyway, about a week ago I decided to watch a good Western so I watched "Shane". I've always liked that movie except that kid gets on my nerves. lol

Finally someone has the guts to say that the kid is annoying. Sort of made this movie mediocre for me.

Just remembered there's also an official version in the UK as part of the 'Wayne in Action' Boxset: The Magnificent Showman as it was released here. Annoyingly the big 34 film 'John Wayne Collection' DVD boxset omitted 2 films from the smaller boxsets: The Magnificent Showman in the 'Wayne in Action' and The Long Voyage Home in the 'Wayne John Ford collection'.

I don't understand what boxset you have bought since I have what seems to be the same boxset of 34 movies and both of these movies are included. If I remember correctly "The Magnificent Showman" is released in 4:3 format. I have a Scandinavian release in widescreen. I don't remember for sure if it is 2.20 : 1, but I think it probably is.

    Thank you Jim.
I guess I'm shocked, but not surprised. I always thought that the day would come where we were affected by terrorist acts like many others have experienced other places. There are crazy people everywhere. The way this action was performed is even more disturbing than the number of lives lost.

You will be able to get these cheaper from other online shops. I bought both the Warner Brothers 3 movie DVD's when they were released. The other one contains The Telegraph Trail/Somewhere in Sonora/The Man From Monterey. I liked these movies even though they are pretty silly. Every fan should have these.

Yes, even if om only semi-interested in sports when the Olympics are on I watch a good deal of the competitions. In Norway this is big. A lot of the competitions are in the middle of the night here.

I rarely listen to pop music anymore, and I don't listen much to Norwegian music, but this group is good. They have only released one album and it has a lot of good songs. This song has been extremely popular here the last half year. Donkeyboy - Ambitions.
