Moab, Utah this is also the home of the stuntman hall of fame. All of the stuntmen that Duke worked with are part of it, including Duke himself.

I am not a good judge because I liked ALL of JW's movies but I too like his off Wayne roles and this was a good example. Watch him in THE LONG VOYAGE HOME, I wonder how many times he lost his character voice and they had to re-take, it must of drove Ford crazy??

Bill-Hey that light blue scarf you are wearing in the intro, is that a JW scarf? What movie is it from? Your youtube is great, some great action, is it safe to assume that Yakima Cannutt was doing the majority of those stunts?

Bill-Just a side note my parents are going to visit the museum in Williams, AZ. on Friday. My Dad talked with Buck, and got everything scheduled, they are excited about seeing JW's items.

Bill- THANK YOU I have been having alot of fun, checking out the different things. I will be happy to ask if I get stuck. I thought the answer on Wayne Enterprises was ALL about money.

I had a book, I kick myself in the head now.
I bought it at an auction (a live auction, as there was no Ebay then) in the 1980's, at that time the book sold at auction for $350.00, a bit of money, even back then.
It was a hard bound book that Duke had in his library. It was STAGECOACH, it have every frame of the movie and the complete dialogue of the movie. It was signed by Duke, and was certified to be one of his last signatures, and from his library. Unfortunately, my wife and I developed some serious financial troubles, the economy was like today's, we both lost our job, and had no money, so I had to sell the book. I hope today it is in good hands, I could imagine what it would sell for now.

    Great stuff, very informative.
The movie guns, or props, do they weigh the same amount as a real gun? Do they actually shoot blanks, or is the smoke all inserted into the film?
    Andy:confused:

I think it is great to get younger people involved. I am 53, I was exposed to JW at the end of his career. If you go back to Stagecoach and watch his movies until his last The Shootist, you will discover for yourself why JW became a legend, and hero.

Thank You for the explanation, IT MAKES SENSE TO ME NOW.
It does bring on anaother question-Why isn't Wayne Enterprises backing this site, as it does the other? This site is so much more professional with true Wayne fans, and open to ALL. I do not understand why they want to limit who they support.
Again Thank You Chester you and Chilibill are very helpful.
And a big THANK YOU for all those who have welcomed me to the site.

I am a new memeber, there is so much to read on this site, it is hard to keep up with it at times. I love watching ALL of Duke's movies, he has been my hero since I was 13, I am now 53. I can watch time and time again. McClintock was the first John Wayne movie I ever saw as a kid, what a way to get introduced to John Wayne. I have never been to the birthplace, I plan on being there next year for the celebration. Take Care Stagecoach50 in Ohio
