I do not think the Martin Pauley references to being 1/8 cherokee and then 1/4 is a mistake. Martin says he is 1/8. It is Ethan that says 1/4. I think Ethan didn''t care enough to really take notice of martys percentage and just threw out a number. I often make similiar mistakes myself.
