Alan Rickman - such a great actor. I remember him in "Die Hard" as a most evil character. R.I.P.
-
"No Way Back" - FBI agent apprehends a yakuza kingpin and tries to bring him to justice. Russell Crowe and Helen Slater star. So-so actioner.
-
"Mission to Mars" - Gary Sinise, Don Cheadle, Connie Neilsen star. A rescue mission to mars discovers something astounding.
-
"A Clear and Present Danger" - Good tale of intrigue with drug cartels involving the CIA and presidential assistants.
-
"Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" - with Gary Oldman. Good movie, if somewhat convoluted.
-
Also watched "San Andreas" - I agree, a good movie.
-
"Close Encounters of the Third Kind" - First time I'd watched this in years. I had liked it when I first watched it and found even more to like this time around.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all - a little late admittedly.
-
"Interstellar" - with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. Interesting take on spacefarers taking a trip to another galaxy to save mankind.
-
"47 Ronin" - Keanu Reeves starred in this about Samuri being disgraced and regaining their status.
-
"The Place Beyond the Pines" - A perhaps unique presentation in three parts. The first follows a bank robber in his activities, the second a cop who kills him and the third follows the two sons of the respective actors 15 years later. Interesting concept.

"Insurgent" - a continuation of the "Divergent" series.

"Divergent" - somewhat confusing story of a future where people are catagorized into classifications.

Sorry to hear that. He was a great character actor. Loved him in "El Fago Baca" (I think that was the title of the series on Disney back in the 50s)
-
"Beverly Hills Cop" and "Beverly Hills Cop II" - both good movies with Eddie Murphy's brand of humor.
-
"Midnight Run" with Robert de Niro. A bounty hunter is given the job of transferring a mob accountant from New York to Los Angeles with various groups after them.
