There was just an article in the paper, they have been arming more policeman. Then after this truck driving on the bridge they are going to arm more, maybe all policeman.
One policeman went after these guys who had knives with a baton. He will live but was stabbed
    several times.
England is waking up. Still nothing about guns for everyone.

The British are getting better prepared. The Police at least killed all three of the attackers.
All muslim's. I believe it's time to take world wide actions against these people.

I bought a laser disc of the Alamo and had it copied to DVD.
Now i have a 202 minute version of it.
The Laser Disc sleeve has a big beautiful picture on it.

Just add to Olivia's data up there, she was involved with me in the 60's.
At least I wish she would have been. lol.
I have enjoyed Olivia's roles in pictures and knew that she had several pictures with Errol Flynn.
I like him as an actor, but he was a bad dude. Just read
    Maureen O'hara's biography.
Olivia was a fine actress in all she did and 100 is incredible.

Time to update something about this movie. One of the best movie's ever made.
I have written on this somewhere on this site before, but not sure where. I watch this every once in a while. I love it.I have it in blue ray and 2-3 three other DVd's. I loan them, or give them to friends and relatives.
My wife and I went to Ireland in 2007, went to most of the places it was shot.
Then some of you have posted your videos, some with music. I bought "the Quiet Man" music, and have bought several other albums of Irish music.
I give John Ford credit for great music in most of his movies.
When we were in Ireland i actually considered buying a little cottage and going once in a while. The only problem i have with Irish customs are, i can't drink like they do. lol!
Now you folks, put your memories of this film on here. You people over there in Europe, if you go post something on here.
May God richly bless you all.

Also check american singer Hank Cochran, he had an Irish album, that is wonderful.

    I love it.
Donna Reed, was just beautiful. So much good acting like Charles Coburn, Sherry Jackson was a surprise, very good in her role and very young.
Several other actors and of course Duke.
I saw this a couple of years on TV, then bought the film.

This movie is history. It takes us back to 1930 when it is made. Also back to the late 1800's showing the moving to the west. I watched part of it, and all of your posts have information that is making it more interesting.
This was Duke's first starring role, right? Just think how hard it was to make this movie with all of these people. A great job by Raoul Walsh as director.
I love the feeling of the history of it all. Will watch the rest later this week.

Music- My all time favorite is "The Quiet Man". I bought it and love it. It also sparked my love for more Irish music. Hank Locklin was a country singer with a great voice. Hank recorded an Irish album, i wanted it. It cost about $60 alone.
Our english friends have taken music and put it out inexpensively. I found a hank locklin cd's
with three of his country albums and the Irish album for $28. This setup was done in England.
Also I bought the John Wayne Alamo on laser disc had it copied to DVD. The laser disc version is 202 minutes instead of 162 min. put out on now.
I also bought the laser disc version of "The Quiet Man", i don't even play it, but it has lobby cards for the movie.
I say hats off to John Ford for the music in his movies, much of it is very good.
    Happy Thanksgiving. 2016

Let's bring this Great Movie back to the present time on the website. New pictures have been posted. Outside of the Civil War affecting their life and it's tensions.
It is one of the best period movies of those days and as Quakers. There is a gentleness about these people before the war affected them.
The horse races to church and the dialog in church is very good and interesting also.

    Hi Friends,
I have noticed the site quieting down. I got this post and regularly get lasbugus pictures. Still watch a Duke movie about one a month.
This site has given me a lot of pleasure over the years. Especially the Ireland, ones. Where you Europeans would go their and record pictures and film.
The music for the great movie, "The Quiet Man".
My wife and i wanted to go back to Ireland, but she took a trip to Heaven in 2014.
I should also mention the movies Duke shot in Colorado and other places where people posted Pictures and dialogs. I am hoping to get to
TCM movies in Hollywood for their yearly get together each April next year. Maureen was there, before she left for heaven.
    God Bless you all.
    The Colorado Kid.

We took a tour of Newport Beach in 1994? Part of the Sands of Iwo Jima were shot right there in Newport Beach. There are houses now where that part of the movie was shot.

A better end then Geronimo had. Apparently Cochise was able to stay on his tribal land.

Bringing up to a new post.
