Watched this old movie last night again and enjoyed it all the same. By the way most of these old movies is not restored. Was it ever collectors editions of them?
Great photos in this forum too. -

It seems that I saw only one movie with him - The Man from Alamo, and I like it.
-
Many of Mann's films where brutal, but it didn't turn me away from them to my own surprise.
Watched Colorado territory last night. -
It's funny, but last night I just watched Colorado territory for the first time. Great western and one of my favorite directors. And I like McCrea in it, but it is a pity that he was killed in the end.
I also like hime very much in Ride The High Country. I saw only 3 films with him, but the third one - Union Pacific didn't impress me at all. -
Congratulations, Jay,
You did a great number of posts here, it is hard to imagine that only 100 and it would be 4000! -
The Naked Spur - one of Ant.Manns and sure great one. James Stewart was great there too.

Thanks Jim for this information. I was waiting for them since I saw 7Man from Now. I even ordered poor tv copies from ioffer.com (waiting right now) , but I'm planning to buy this set too. I enjoy RS westerns always and 2 movies of Boetticher which I saw make me feel very respectful of this director.

Hi
Henry V with laurence Olivier
Regards
Arthur
Do you like it? I remember watching it a while ago - and I didn't/ I like the play from my childhood - I've read almost all Shakespeare plays from 7 to 10 and his historical chronics was always amoung my favorites. All his plays are so modern in their ideas, but this film - not. Or may be I'm mistaken and mischarged it.
Have you seen Russian versions of Hamlet and King Leare (Sorry if it is not right spelling - read it only in Russian)? I think these was great movies. -
Jim And Sue,
I'm little late but I want to add my congratulations for your 6900 and say how much I enjoy your company here.

Somehow I missed this review, even if I was around most of July. I was out at August and will be again until 19 of September.
I have this movie, but watched it only once and it made very dark impression over me. I think that Fonda's playing is exellent so as direction is brilliant, but it leaves very sad impression. Most of westerns gives us courege and beleif that you can owercome any life difficalties. In this even positive hero's are driven by mob and can't do nothing about wrong judjment and linching.
