Hi All, and welcome Kristina,
I very well remember from my childhood TV series about Lessie (they was shown here and became quite popular), so it was very interesting to know about connection with Duke.
I too have a little dog, it is rather old, I don't know how that breed is named in english, in russian it sounds taksa. Now we also have problems, because the big dog biked mine, and we have an operation two days ago. I hope that everything will be all right.
Regards,
Vera

Hi Carl,
Nice to hear from you again. Its a pity that you have all these problems with health. I wish you quick recovery. Your comments about Clementine is very interesting. I'm now trying to know more about Earp. Ordered some movies about him here. We are lucky that DvD and VHS here is quite cheap.
Regards,
Vera

74 years ago the actress Anita Ekberg was born. Coming to the public notice in La Dolce Vita, she was signed at great expense by Batjac and made a fleeting appearance in Blood Alley.

Hi all,
as I remember she played in two Frederico Fellinis films - La Dolce Vita and Interview. In the last one they played with Mastroani themselves, old now, but the famous episode in the fontaine from the early film was also shown.
She also was fine at War and Peace.

Senta

Hi Keith,
Thank you for the information, it is really interesting to see different films about one person. I think - I saw one of them - Wyatt Earp - in the videostore.
Regards,
Vera

Hi Keith,
My Darling Clementine is one of my favorite films, I have it on DVD, printed here, but I didn't now what kind of ending is on it - old or not. I think it is old, in it Earp kisses Clementine very modest good-bay at the end and ride away. I like the scene.
Also I know almost nothing about real Earp :o
May be it is some other information in the web or books. What other Earp films you mentioned? Are they worth seeing? And is it some sense in purchasing DVD of MDClementine with alternate version and some features I suppose?
Regards,
Vera

Hi Senta,
How many have I seen? Well, I have 147 John Wayne films in my collection, and I've seen all of them at least once, most more than that, plus a few dozen documentaries, TV shows, Specials, etc..., so not counting them, I'd have to say 147. My family says I need to get a life!

Hi Colorado Bob,
I have only 32 in my collection now, but I'm a very newbe JW fun, so I look forward and hope to see the others.

Ringo,
It is nice to hear from you again, I'm glad that you are all right. I didn't worrying about my little knowlege at all. Instead I feel myself little exited becouse there are so many great Dukes films for me in the nearest future. And each new gives me so great joy and pleasure. And it is the reason that the last weeks I sometimes smile without any reason.
It is great to find a hero like Duke.
Regards,
Senta

Hi Colorado Bob,
The questions was very interesting, but of course I have no chance to answer them. I even didn't see yet most of the films, you mentioned. It is always interests me, how many JW films have you see?

Thanks for advice. Never tryed that. I added some rum only in the ice-cream and some cakes, during cooking them.

Hope so. It is funny, but one of the Sherlock Holms books - The Hound of Baskerville - he read even in english this summer, and I didn't push him to do that.
All the best,
Senta

Hi Smokey,
It is interesting information. We here is zone 5, but as I noticed all disks for zone 2, plays on all players with no trouble. On my player on computer I changed zone to 1, to be able to see movies for that zone. But when I order some new, I prefer zone 2, becouse it will play any were.
If you are interested I shall post the list of Dukes films available here.
Regards,
Senta

my nephew who is the same age as you lad read so much that when he gets a new book you dont see him till he has finished it he reads at a level equal to that of a 17/18 yr old so i think they all come to reading at their own time but when they do they will enjoy it. maybe you could find out what interests he has and buy books in that field. just a suggestion how about having one day a week where they cant play with anything electronic or watch telly they then have to either play baord games or read we do this and it has made a difference to my lads reading.

Hi Smokey,
Thank you for advice. My son too cant stop reading the book he loves, but he often turned the book if it seems dull to him, and go to play football, or play computer instead.
Of course the way is to find what interests him, but it will be no use, becouse it didn't push him to love classics.

Hi all,
How nice to read the quots from the film in original language, when I have seen it only in russian on VHS, but I hope to see it with original sound very soon.
I was always interested, is that story real and heros, or based on the real facts?
