Awhile back, I was watching the movie, The Shootist on TV. During commercial break, Ron Howard did an interview. He spoke of how great it was working with the Duke and the mutual respect they had for each other. The Duke said he would like to make one more movie and it would be with him, Ron Howard. Ron said the movie would be called: John and Me!
Didn't give much details about the film, only that he was disapointed that it never got off the ground. I assume that was due to John's failing health. Does anyone know if this went anywhere beyond the talking stages? Bill

I can't recall the name of it. It was with Charlton Heston. He was in charge of taking care of somebody's property. A woman and her boy moved into a cabin there
and he started careing for them. He played kind of a simple minded man, good story
but i didn't like the ending. He left them. Anybody know the name of that?

Rio Grande was one of two movies where John starred with Chill Wills. There were some actors that John Wayne worked with that he did not like. Chill wills was one of them. Does anybody know why? ( I read that in a book, just how true that is i do
    not know.)

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this but, does anybody know if there is a good ( not import ) dvd out there on the barbarian and the geisha? Does anybody have one? I have it on VHS. I liked the movie! Great story about the Japanese people. Thanks! My name is Bill, I'm from Colchester Vermont. Im 53 years old and work at IBM. Been a JW fan since i was a kid. I'm a greenhorn here so patients please!

I'm Sorry but i think the saddest death was in the cowboys. It was a unexspected, unprovoked attack by a low life creature named Bruce Dern. In the Shootist, death was inevitable. It was either that or face death by cancer.
