Just finished watching Ghost Rider. Great special effects, and Eva is gorgeous. Couldn't help myself as I was a fan of the comic. Descent flick, but not good for the kids. Watched Flicka last night as well. My daughter loves the horses. She keeps yelling Cabellos, cabellos.

Chester, I would have to agree about the differences in culture contributing to different taste. When I go home, one of the biggest sellers at the vendors is white corn that is drained and put in a cup. After that, they usually add butter, mayonaisse, a mexican hot sauce, and sour cream. I am not kidding about this. My wife and friends go crazy on this stuff. I can't even get a spoonfull down. DISGUSTING:ohmy: . With that said, it does seem popular. Bags of tortilla chips with hotsauce, queso y blanco, and lime squeezed in it goes good to. Now that I like. Pretty cool business you got going.

Now to my romeo friend Ringo. What's the secret? Good restaurants, women, and weather. I'm jealous.

Hey Keith, it looks delicious. The recipes sure makes for a tasty treat, and I have to say, I've never heard of steaming a dessert before. I think everyone will appreciate that link.:present: Good stuff. I will try it as soon as I get a chance. The article said it was a simple task, but usually the simple ones turn out the most wicked.
Ringo, hey brother, do you ever eat at home?:stunned: I tell you, I like to eat at Furrs as well. Furrs and Luby's are getting harder to find and are non-existent up here. I guess if we lose touch I could always hang out at the Cracker Barrel to find ya. So many good restaurants down home. There isn't a lack of them here, just a different menu. NOW, about them senoritas!! They sure make the food taste better don't they? I wish I could have a few of them hugs, but my senorita wife would take it to me. Hot blooded, mean-tempered,jealous....... Gotta love em. If I ever get to settle down, I'll throw on some steaks on the grill, sit back and enjoy some beer and ceviche.

Ringo Kid, brother you just said the right words. Pecan pie. My father used to make us go out and pick up pecans from the trees we had in the back yard. My aunt would use those fresh pecans and make the best pie. I only have the option of the frozen type up here in the Oregon wilderness, but every once in a while we will find one in a restaurant. I think you and I could do some eatin if we get the chance. Ethan, I'm not sure what treacle sponge and custard is, but I'm willing to give anything a try.

I've always played well with those that older. I can't seem to find too many people who share my interests or politics in my generation. :ohwell: My mother always said I was born to the wrong generation. Everyone on this site seem close, are very respectful, and enjoy each others banter and the common thread of course is Duke Wayne. What a guy and what a great group all of you are. Now I am going to go change my diaper and go down for a nap.

I think term limits would be a good start. How many years of Ted Kennedy can one take.:cry2: But, barring that I would have to agree with the above post. I think there have to be some good candidates out there, but no money equals no voice.:ohwell: I'm not so nervous about the state of the country as I am the younger generation who knows nothing of sacrifice and who's idea of patriotism is warped. There hasn't been any Depressions or World Wars to unite this country and until there is some sort of shared hardship, there will be no unity. Just my two cents.

Great info and I guess my pastor will get my help some time in the future. My pastor flies down there all the time and asked me to fly with him. I should clarify, he is the pilot and his favorite stories are how he has almost crashed three times enroute. The drive should be nice and pleasant.:glare: Thanks again.

Does anyone know any information concerning Duke movie sites in Durango, Mexico. My pastor down in Port Isabel spends about half the year down in Durango and keeps inviting me. His selling point is the movies Duke made down there. Now I don't think he knows anything for certain, its more likely he is just trying to get me down there to help with the church. Both good causes all the way around. Any help would be appreciated.:gora: I love these little things.

I hope people are joking when they say Pelosi is hot. If she gets too close to a source of heat, her botox with break down and you might be seeing someone totally different. That woman is a political machine. I would wonder if she related to the tin man.

I watched "The Departed" and let me give a friendly warning to this much hyped Oscar contender. I have never seen a movie with as much foul language and violence EVER!:ohwell: The story line is decent, however good luck getting past the "realism" that was put in to the story. Mark Wahlberg's character has a string of cussing that I haven't heard and I literally live around sailors. I don't recommend it, watch at your own disgust.

p.s. Sands of Iwo Jima was good, not as asthetically pleasing as Flags, but still a good movie. After watching an interview with Clint Eastwood on Fox, a lot of politically questions were put to rest and it was easier to enjoy.

MMMMMMMmmmmmmm, Whataburger. :hyper::stunned: I just drooled on myself. Do you know how bad my wife and myself miss that culinary palace of mouthwatering burger makers. I tell ya what, one of the fortunate things I have is a bounty of terrific asian food. If you ever find yourself in this part of the country before I leave (hopefully soon, I turned pure white from the lack of sun) you and yours have a place to stay and some grub for your belly. Thanks as always.

I think Denzel is a terrific actor. Man on Fire is my favorite from him. If you haven't had a chance to see it, you're missing out. I heard it said once, and it actually grew with me that he would make a good James Bond. However, all in all, I am really glad that Duke is still in the publics consience. Good thing all the way around.

I guess a Coastie could find a home in "Navy Country". My wife and I love the area and I actually have some family there that isn't related to the wife. My cousin is a teacher in the area. I will be all over the Lexington when I get a chance. I'm really starting to get into Naval WWII history. I was invited to Guadacanal this September with some of the historians I met at Pearl Harbor Symposium. Of course, they forget every five minutes more than I know, but they humor me. It sure is good to be back on the board though. All of you guys and gals are terrific.

Oooh how I love this thread. So nice to have so many people think in the same stratosphere that I do. But I have to avoid this thread less it have the same effect as Chili Bills chili (haven't tried it yet, but I'll take his word). I will say one thing however, as I can't stop myself. Pelosi (our esteemed Botox queen) now has use of military planes for her family as well as her delegates and nary a peep out of the main-stream press. At least she is getting rid of the culture of corruption. Sorry if I'm just repeating anything from earlier. It's taking me forever to catch up on these threads, but its a pleasure.

I for one love the results of this poll. It shows that people are finally looking for something solid and true. Holy cow, in this day and age how nice it would be if more people emulated Duke Wayne over the Brittany Spears of the worlds. Not to mention our politicians. Our youth aren't that bad, they're just starving for leadership. Great poll.
