    I just had delivery of 22 of these from Ron. Excellent service, great communication and the quality ranges from same as VHS to near DVD quality. (all bar 2 but these ones, Bardelys and Mother Machree, are VERY RARE)

    will you be kind enough to repost your original one.


    However in the meantime, in answer to you,
    the one's marked, as 'Available' still remain 'Rare'
    so for that reason, still need to be included in this list.
    The list is intended to as an indication
    as to the present status of these movies.

There are a few other titles that are similarly readily available (public domain, maybe?). In most of those titles, John Wayne is a major character throughout the film, while some of the lesser available titles have Duke playing only a minor role.


    So . . . perhaps I would put my dollars into the more rare titles, especially if the readily available titles (rats) aren't significantly better than what I already have. Many of the rats are available on DVDs that hold quite a few titles, for a very good price (around $1 per film, in some cases). The quality is not great, but does not distract from the movie, and is very watchable.

    Keith, your comment sent me to our movie cupboard to see what it says on ours. The older movies from the thirties (many of the rats) are on all four sets that I looked at, and they all say "digitally remastered" and a couple indicate that the audio has been "digitally enhanced." Is "digitally remastered" the same as "restored" ? I confess ignorance of what these terms mean.

    Many of the films that I've purchased on VHS and DVD where not a very good product. Some of the films that I've bought from "GOODTIMES" and other vendors left me disappointed at the film quality. So as I collected my films over the years, whenever I got an extremely good copy of a film, I would put RESTORED next to the list. Please don't think that every film I show there has been professionally RESTORED. However, everyone loves the art work and product that I sell.
