Looking forward to your findings! Last night I watched The Man from Monterrey with Duke, it looked very good for the time but I found the story abit of a miss, rare for me not to enjoy a Duke movie.

For myself, I enjoy Rawhide quite a bit, moreso for Eric Fleming than Clint. Too bad he couldn't have gone on to a rewarding career than the sad end he experienced.

Sugarfoot 1951 starring Randolph Scott, Raymond Massey, Adele Jergens and Arthur Hunnicutt, Sugarfoot was renamed Swirl of Glory when released to television, to avoid confusion with the TV series Sugarfoot--which, in turn, was based on the 1954 feature Boy From Oklahoma.
Duel at Diablo 1966 starring James Garner & Sidney Poitier in his first Western with Bibi Andersson, Bill Travers, Dennis Weaver and John Hoyt

Jesse James 1939- Tyrone Powell, Henry Fonda, Randolph Scott. Very good movie about a
not so good subject. Beautiful Technicolor.
It was a very popular movie at the time. Randolph was a big guy. -
The Gundown 2011 starring Andrew W Walker good movie for this day and age nearly as good as the oldies.

Dawn Rider 2012 starring Christian Slater a remake of the John Wayne movie, the plot is the same. After his father is killed, John Mason is willing to turn the world inside out to find the man responsible. What he doesn't know is the killer might be in his own house, good movie worth a look.

Interesting that they decided to remake an old Duke B movie, wonder what gave them the idea and if they'll look to do another one. I could see cheap 90 minute Western movies like that doing really well in certain markets

Episode 5 of Maverick The Long Hunt, might have been my favourite episode yet, really has the mix of action and good storyline/mystery down.
