I am not a fanatic sports buff (I do love my Cowboys), but I watch games of football, baseball and basketball fairly regularly. Right now, the 2006 Olympics are in the spotlight and I guess I'm a sucker for all the various events programed.
We are only halfway through the first week of the events and I can't remember when so many participants that were favored for medals have been left out in the cold in this short a time. Just goes to show that on any given day, one athlete can come from nowhere and do spectacularly and another can have a completely off day and not place as well as expected.
