Hello, it's cool to be communicating with someone so close to such an amazing set of films! In my search to learn about country music I've been learning that country music used to be called western music among other titles. I am very interested in the idea of western films and the atmosphere and genre and defining characteristics. Do you have any information about Robert's views, techniques, and anything similar? I'd love to find some information on what a "western" film was to Robert. Nowadays definitions are too far from the source and somewhat convoluted. To me these films are on a "heavenly" realm. I wonder if the "hays code" was a major factor in these films being so respectable. Anyways, if you have any notes or links that could help in my endeavors that would be great! Thank you.
