My favourite co-stars are Ward Bond and Walter Brennan.Lee Marvin was quite good also.Especially in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
Favourite actress? Now this is a bit harder but since the Rio Bravo is my favourite John Wayne film I`ll say Angie Dickinson and Maureen O`Hara would be second best.

Well,Hondo you know this is not easy since there is lot of great westerns that don`t have John Wayne but I´ll give it a try anyway. So my list looks like this(at least today I`m sure I´m forgetting many good westerns)For A Few Dollars More(best one from the Eastwood-Leone westerns)
The Outlaw Josey Wales(best one from the westerns that Eastwood has directed...I know he won academy award with The Unforgiven and that movie is great also...but not as great as Josey :D )
Once Upon A Time In America(Another masterpiece from Sergio Leone .Includes one of the best villain of all time in westerns:Henry Fonda`s Frank)
The Wild Bunch(I`m not sure if you consider this film as a western but I do.Peckinpah`s best film ever)
My Darling Clementine( the best John Ford western without John Wayne)

    Hi guys!I´m new here.
I´ve been Duke-fan as far as I can remember and I really think that he`s THE BEST western actor of all time but the second best is Clint Eastwood.
I do like Gary Cooper,James Stewart,Randolph Scott and so on but Eastwood`s films for example The Unforgiven,For A Few Dollars More,Outlaw Josey Wales are so powerful westerns that there is no question about it(to me):Clint Eastwood is the second best western actor and one of the best western directors as well.
