A couple of weeks ago, I ordered from Amazon the first six seasons of "Bonanza". For the last two nights, I've watched episodes from Season 1 and rediscovered why I used to enjoy that TV Western so much.

'The Virginian' (2014)
-Trace AdkinsPhantoms Review:
Decent, if unremarkable, retelling of the classic western. The cast does a good job, especially Ron Pearlman as Judge Henry, the scenery is nice, but the film was made on a low budget and at times it shows. Keep your expectations low, and you should enjoy this film. -

"Ulzana's Raid" - Burt Lancaster as a scout helping the calvary track down murderous Apache renagades.
-
Been watching the Jack Kelly episodes of Maverick from season 1. Kelly is really good as the other Maverick, not Garner but more than holds it's own. The writing on that show really was excellent

"Ulzana's Raid" - Burt Lancaster as a scout helping the calvary track down murderous Aoache renagades.
Great western. One of three he made in the seventies.

The Lone Ranger 2013, I don't know who did Depp's make up at start of the movie but who ever it was its damn good.

A month or so ago, I ordered from Amazon the first six seasons of "Bonanza", the old TV series. It was one of my favorite TV shows back in the Sixties and in watching my new acquisitions, I find I still enjoy it tremendously, especially the theme music.

''The Train Robbers''...I never get tired of watching over and over again this one.
