    Hi Arthur -
Leo Gordon was a character actor you loved to hate. He appeared in so many TV programs in the '50s, '60s and into the '70s, you could see him on the tube almost every week. He was still going strong when he appeared on several episodes of "Adam 12" and apparently was a favorite of Jack Webb's.
As you say, he was also a writer. He wrote episodes for various TV programs, and even directed some. He wore several hats when involved with the movie "Tobruk." He not only played the part of a sergeant, but also wrote the script for the film. One of his last appearances was in the remake of "Maverick" as one of the gamblers on the riverboat.

  • Hi Kieth

I have that article in Wildest Westerns I collect the series. They come out ever year around about this time, and are quite reasonably priced. So far they have issued six with Duke on the cover of the first issue. Other covers include Gene Autry, Michael Landon, James Stewart and Rhonda Fleming. I have also read an article about Leo Gordon in Trail Dust, an American magazine that I used to subscribe to but seems to be defunct now, which is a pity because it contained a lot of useful information and good pictures.
