  • Hey, Hondo

I thought I'd start a new thread to keep the other one on topic (about one of my favorite movies, and one of my most wanted movies that I've never seen).

So here's a list of the Western DVD's that I own...

(edit - You know what? I'll give each movie a score from 1-5, 5 being best. Hopefully this will help you if you aren't sure whether or not you want to buy a particular movie on DVD.)

    Albuquerque (3)
    Angel and the Badman (4.5)

    Winchester '73 (5)
    Winds of the Wasteland (2.5)
    Wyatt Earp (4.0)
    Young Guns (4.0)
    Young Guns II (4.0)

I don't generally count the John Wayne Lone Star "C" movies (you couldn't even legitimately call them "B" movies) from the 30's since they weren't even an hour long and were little more than TV shows before TV existed (and Winds of the Wasteland barely makes the cut, but it was a bigger budget production). They are fun to watch, though!

Another 300 Western movies on DVD and I'll be happy....

    ;)

  • Now that's a list. I looked at it a little, but it seems that all the westerns I have is what you have plus some. I'll look at this closer, but is very impressive.

    Cheers B)

  • :cowboy: If this is open to anyone's collection, here is my feeble list:

    The Undefeated.
    Winchester '73.
    Young Bill Hickok.
And about 10 or so of the Duke's 1930's Westerns.

Es Ist Verboten Mit Gefangenen In Einzelhaft Zu Sprechen..

  • Hey, that's not a feeble list - you've got a few titles on there that I don't have that I'm interested in.

  • Thanks for the nice compliment Eric. Compared to others here, my DVD list really lacks. Now, if I could list what I have on VHS, I have over 500 Westerns. I need a computer so I can see about getting them all to DVD.

  • Since my last post I have added quite a few Westerns. I'd list them but they are now packed away in boxes because were moving to Austin this month.

  • Wow, after seeing that list of mine from over 4 years ago. That is crazy. I think I need help!!! I am not goingto re-list mine either as I am close to 150 westerns now. Total movies are close to 500 movies. I am at roughly the 20 mark for Blu-Ray movies as well. I don't think I need help, I know I need help!! hehehe!!

We know we need help, also.
At least we haven't been able to afford the BlueRay.

Blu-Rays are cheaper then you think. The Searchers for example is $9.99 and if you buy when the movie first releases they are a decent price. I just picked up the new Star Trek for $20. They have sales all over the place as well and the prices are in the $15 range.

Look, I just talked myself into buying more!! HEHEEHEHE!!!

  • Just a few days ago, I found at W-M a Ronald Reagan Western which I bought but have not yet watched because of our house move. The movie also has Alex Nicol in it but I can't think of its title off-hand. I have so few Reagan movies on DvD, in fact, this is the only one so far-unfortunately) and ill be adding more when time permits.
