  • Hi Gang the last stories where quite popular so i thought i'd start a new one see if we can get a few more budding writers involved.

As a crowd gathered around the bodies of the Macready Gang lying dead or dying in the mud of this once quiet town, the rain wash the blood and dirt through the streets. the town folk stood silent as they wondered what had hit their town, for only a few weeks earlier this town was a bussling and blissful town . Then...................

"COME SEE A FAT OLD MAN SOMETIME"

  • A lone horseman comes trotting up the quiet street, tossing golden coins to the undertaker who is now bent over..examining the bodies of the gang with the Doctor."They got what they hadda Comin'" the big man on the horse said.In the meantime a young boy,by the name of John O'Connor recognized this man as.............

  • ...Big Hoss!

Who was Hoss? He looked mean and nasty. He appeared to be intolerant. But John knew who he was. He went to Hoss and said, "you'd better git out of ere, the towns people are fit to see a man hung befur the sun goes down."

Hoss didn't let it bother him at all. He continued to ride down the dusty street. You could see the town's folk look at him with hate in their eyes, but Hoss just kept his eye down the street at the dark figure standing in front of the store. He could see that starnger with a shinny gun in his holster, and reconized the markings on the holster. The dark figure started to walk toward Hoss. As he came into view, Hoss could see who it was coming at him. Sweat started to run down his forehead, and he became a little nervous. Hoss stopped and hopped off his horse. He started toward the stranger, and began to call out, .....

  • when the dark stranger started to reach towards his breast pocket, big hoss's hand falshed down towards his gun. the dark stranger stopped moving and called out ... jsut want to show ya somefing hoss so keep that leg iron holstered ... big hoss had started to draw his gun and stopped his action and waited.

meanwhile the towns people still glared up the street at him and waited to see what was going to happen, when one of them whispered ... do ya know who that other fella is? .... a few of the towns people stood shaking their heads then one piped up .. it looks like

  • Abilene Bob.......

Hoss stood in the middle of the street as Abilene stepped away from the doorway and onto the street. He kept his hand close to his six gun which rested easy in it's holster. Abilene Bob made his way slowly up the street towards Hoss, keeping his hands out from his body, to show Hoss that he was not about to draw on him, while at the same time keeping a sharp eye on the town's people in case one of them decided to take a hand in what was fast becoming one god almighty bloodbath.

As Abilene bob came within two feet of Hoss he stopped. He was about to give Hoss the piece of paper that was in his hand, when out of the corner of his eye he saw a movement on the rooftop across the street......

    Emmanuel.

I'll try one of those black beers....THE QUIET MAN.

  • he lunged forward pushing big hoss backwards to the ground and pulled his gun out and fired at the roof top. as it was a rolling shot it missed the figure and it dissappeared down behind the store front roof, still watching he said to big hoss ... i think we had better move to somewhere safer .... big hoss rolled and for a big man he moved like a cat towards his horse which hadn't moved, he lept into the saddle and called out to abilene bob ... see ya at the hanging tree .... and he raced out of town riding low in the saddle.
