Love that line. Also the one, "well, looks like I brought my laundry by mistake".
"Night Passage" - with Jimmy Stewart and Audie Murphy.
Watched a few episodes of Bonanza Season 8 and Rawhide Season 1 yesterday...
Big Jake, at our John Wayne 39th members Convention on the 18th April.
Tall in the Saddle good movie but Duke only uses his gun to scare some and pistol whip a drunk.
Red River Range 1938 + Three Texas Steers 1939, two nice early duke movies I like the black n White movies.
The Star Packer + The Lonely Trail Like Duke's old B/W's the poverty row westerns are great.
"Extreme Prejudice" with Nick Nolte with a judicious turn by Rip Torn. This can either be considered a western or a non-western.
Rio Lobo on utube good movie.
"Fort Apache" - Venerable John Wayne movie.
Texas Rising-good cast, not at all historically accurate, but enjoyable if you ignore that aspect-
Hondo, a great movie.
El Dorado
The first three installments of "Texas Rising" on the History Channel. Pretty good rendition of the battle of the Alamo and primarily the aftermath. The only thing I take exception with is the landscape which is nowhere like the terrain in actuality. The land is mostly flat or rolling hills, not mountains and cliffs.
The Shootist
He was a great actor.
Stagecoach 1939 a great B/W movie with an all star cast.
"The Gunfight at OK Corral", what a great movie, Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster,1957. The color was also very good in this movie. Also a young looking Ward Bond.
"Rio Bravo" in Blueray. Very good color, enjoyed all of it. However Dean and Ricky didn't sing in this one. Isn't that part of the movie?
Bought the two "Lonesome Dove" movies on one DVD at Walmart..
