Pray for rain, Jay. I've been doing so since about April but so far, in vain.

According to this article, Texas is in one of the worst, and hottest, droughts we've ever had. I read another story that told how ranchers are selling most of their cattle because of a lack of water and the high price of hay to feed them.

stumpy our farmers had to do that a couple of years ago because of the drought and some even shot their cattle because they were not good enough to go to the markets, in some areas it got so bad that they had to get the ok from the banks to even buy the bullets to shot their animals. conditions are looking up now since we had that big wet last summer.

Not as bad as Dallas or Oklahoma City, but we have had about 24 days of one hundred degrees F. here since May. Those days we didn't hit were 98 or 99, so not much difference there!
