Here in England most people I have chatted to about John Wayne seem to hold him in high esteem, he is very highly thought of
I have met very few people that dislike him
Most of my friends & work friends own at least one JW DVD
If you ask people here to name a famous american most name John Wayne, that was in a newspaper poll some years back, but it shows that Duke is not forgotten
I like to think of him as still being with us
