Ethanedwards- What a great rendition of "Let it be me". I saw them in 1997? at Lake Tahoe. They had many great songs and such beautiful harmony. Paul McCartney wrote a song in the early 80's, called
"On the Wings of a Nightingale" for them. I saw a video of them singing it and it was a minor hit.
I believe I have most of their singles and Extended Play 4 song albums from the 50's.
Phil's passing helps point out our own Mortality. -
I adore the Everlys. I saw them at their reunion concert in Royal Albert Hall in London -- both nights. They were just as amazing as ever. RIP, beautiful Phil.

There are several videos from the Everlys reunion concert at Royal Albert Hall on youtube.
I highly recommend the first two albums they released after the reunion -- EB84 and On the Wings of a Nightingale. There was a third album but it's not as good as the first two.
There is also a DVD of the Royal Albert Hall concert.

Paula- thanks for that information. I found a youtube video that is really good. Just go to youtube and type in WhyWorry- everlys. Pick the one that has Chet Atkins and Mark
Knopfler playing guitar in it. Mark wrote the song, I don't believe this is on an album. A stunning song. -

Actor Frank Marth has died at 91

I remember Marth from that one episode of The Honeymooners where he and the other bank robber hold Ralph, Alice , and Norton hostage and he takes Ralph in the bedroom to work him over a little and ends up on the short end of the stick of Ralphs blows. I remember seeing his wife, Hope Holiday, in a few movies too. Always had that short blonde pixie cut hairdo and played scatterbrained females.

'Partridge Family' star Dave Madden dies

Sad to see all those I grew up with as a child go. RIP Russell and Dave. You touched me as a child in entertaining me and so many others. They may not been the stars but they were the glue to hold together those shows in their own ways. Am I getting old.
