Maybe one of you guys can help me out... I've just been cast in a stage play, in a western, playing the part of one of the good guys, a sheriff. The character carries a .45 revolver... I have to supply my own costume, so I'm buying a blank firing old west replica of a Colt peacemaker. Now I know about the real guns, but have never dealt with the blank firing kind! I've found, on the web, .380 caliber and the .22 caliber replicas. Are there any experts out there that can tell me anything about these? Will they look real? (The director and writers are sticklers for authenticity) Is there a place I can get one a decent price? etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just would like to know about this before I make a purchace!
Thanks.
Oh, by the way, The Play is a revival of the "Hopalong Cassidy" character, and called, "Hopalong Cassidy Meets the Ghost Riders", I play an ex Bar-20 rider, turned sheriff named Lucky Jenkins. The play will be the last two weekends in Oct., if you're in the North Texas/Southern Oklahama area, it would be good to see you there. They haven't updated the information yet, but the websight is www.redrivertheatre.com!
Again thanks in advance for the help.
