  • Well, Todd, you can be optimistic if you want but to me, the thought of the most far-left government in American history is very depressing.

And say what you will but I place all the blame on George W. Bush for this turn of events. He has governed so badly that the Republican "brand" may never recover. He has totally thrown away everything that Ronnie Reagan ever stood for.

Stumpy, I think its just the fact that I have alot of things to live for rightnow. And with kids that are 7 years old, all I have to be optimistic for the future.

I agree with everything you say, but I also tend to think that most people are not bad, just easily infulenced. So, we may swing to the left on this election, but the truth with come out and the pendulum will go the other direction after that.

I don't think that the fools running the democtratic party sre doing this because they think its right, they are doing it for there benefit only.

Life is hard, its even harder when your stupid!!

If the country survives long enough for it to swing. And with the hard left in total control of this government, that's a very big if.

I have no doubts that one of their first acts will be to cut our military to the bone, leaving us totally defenseless against our many enemies. And we all know who they are - Iran, Venezuela, Russia, China, North Korea and several others I can think of. That's not even counting al Qaeda and the Taliban.

  • Can you imagine someone like John Kerry as "Defense" Secretary in an Obama administration? I can, and the thought just scares the hell out of me.

    De gustibus non est disputandum

  • This is a perfect example of the type of individual who will be running our country. Scary, isn't it?

Your link doesn't work Stumpy, atleast for me it didn't.

I won't say that I am happy about how this election and the campaign's is turning out. The damn media should be ashamed of itself for taking sides and then forcing there views on a public that is running scared right now, either from the economy worries or the terrorism threat, ect.... I think more then the Democrats, that the elite media in this country are the real axis of evil!!

After he threw all the Vietnam soldiers under the bus, him being the Sec of Def. would be like Marilyn Manson running a day care.

I don't know why you can't link to the page, Todd, it works okay for me.

As for your comments about the media; well, you know that my contempt for that institution equals your own, as my several posts in the past have proven. Further, it seems that media bias is even starting to wear on at least one of their own.

    De gustibus non est disputandum

  • Obviously, media bias is starting to aggravate lots of other people, as shown by the decline in readership of most big newspapers.

I think more and more people are going to the web to find news that is less biased than that displayed by the so-called "mainstream media".

I nurture a secret hope that if the Dems start trying to ruin our defense capabilities after the election by decimating our military, its' leaders rebel and assume control of this government. I know that would fly in the face of historical civilian control of the military but these are desperate times. IMO, desperate times require desperate measures.

  • This is a picture of an Obama fan at a rally. Young, enthusiastic, politically inexperienced and probably a total airhead. After all, if he's supporting a socialist for the next president, he can't be too bright, can he?

    De gustibus non est disputandum

  • Good! This clown calls himself a Republican, as did I, but he was one of the biggest pork-barrelers in Congress and I'm ecstatic that he's oughtta here. I can think of many more I'd like to see follow him.

    De gustibus non est disputandum

  • What is so sad and so like the liberal media is the posting of the potential electoral votes. They think it may keep repubican voters home with the thought is it worth it to vote since we are so behind.

  • After he threw all the Vietnam soldiers under the bus, him being the Sec of Def. would be like Marilyn Manson running a day care.

Marilyn Manson for Sec of Def now there's a thought!! President Manson?? Is it too late for his nomination papers.

Well we are nearly down to the last week. Will it be a clean sweep for Obama or will Mc Cain close the gap and come out in front?

Since Manson is a Satanist I would be moving if he ran for anything or won anything. If he won he would appoint King Diamond his Sec of Def, Korn his official band, and use gangster rap to torture sane people.

Barring a miracle Obama will win. :vomit:

Just to show you how divorced I am from current affairs, I had to Google Marilyn Manson to see who IT was. He looks typical of those clowns today who call themselves musicians. There ain't a doubt in my military mind that all those millions of young people they're telling us who support Barack Obama are fans of Marilyn Manson types.

Lets face it if Manson ran he/she would take away votes from Obama.

I think it likely that Obama will win unless he makes a mistake.

  • ATTENTION all you gun owners out there. The wife just came running in and said she'd heard His Majesty talking gun control on the evening news already. And the SOB hasn't even been elected yet.

Hopefully, this will prove to be a boo-boo on his part since the NRA wields a considerable amount of political influence. Might swing some votes in those so-called "purple" states where firearms are popular. Like Colorado and Nevada, among two of the battlegrounds.
